2020 Wednesday Evening League

5:45 PM Shotgun Start each Wednesday

Welcome new and returning golfers!

First night of league will begin on May 27, 2020. We will enforce “Social Distancing Rules to assure

safety of every player!!! ALL League Players are encourage to play on May 27, 2020. League handicaps will be established on

May 27, 2020.

2020 Schedule of Events

2020 season begins May 27 and ends August 12. Shotgun start at 5:45 pm on Wednesday evenings.

Team Captains are asked to notify the Pro Shop by each Monday by 4 pm who will be playing for points on

Wednesday

The League will host 2 Fun Nights, including food and drink tickets. Teams must register on the

Monday before each fun night so we have a head count for food order. Dates to be announced.

All team members and Substitute Players are encouraged to come out for the fun nights.

Weekly Flag prizes – Flag Prizes will be offered on 3 holes every week and will be worth $5 in Pro Shop Credit

Team format – Maximum 4 Players – all teams and subs must complete registration form (While all players

can play every week, 2 team members will be designated to play for points handicap purposes. Maximum of

4 players on any hole. The Pro Shop will reserve 1 tee time for extra players. Sign up by calling the Pro

Shop on Monday by 4 pm. All players are eligible to win the flag prizes and will keep a validated score card.

Frequently Asked Questions 1. Rules of play

- Two people per team for points each week – Team point totals at the end of the season determine winners of

top 3 payouts.

- Count all strokes – 10 stroke maximum or Net Double Bogey (whichever is less) Additional info will follow.

Experienced league players will help new players to learn the new max stroke system.

- Ready golf, keep play moving.

2. Weather: play is cancelled at the direction of the Pro Shop

3. Substitute golfer list will be emailed to players and be available on the bulletin board – only registered/paid

players are eligible to play as subs. Substitute players can register as Subs by completing a registration form and

submitting $20 player fee. Substitutes are not eligible for League Standings Winnings but are eligible for weekly

Flag Prizes.

4. Flag prizes and team awards are redeemed in the Pro Shop and must be used by November 30, 2020

5. On the first night of league (May 27 is first night for points, handicaps will be established for all players, so

everyone is encouraged to come and play, including subs.) The League Handicap is used only for league purposes

and is not transferable. For players with an MSGA Handicap, weekly scores should be entered in order to maintain

an accurate handicap. The Handicap that will be calculated for league play will be determined by the league

software managed by the Pro Shop.
