TRANSCRIPT
Why are there broad online social and professional networks, but none by and for NGOs?
How do I get people to connect with relevant knowledge... online?
How do I increase my understanding of the relationship between Nature and Poverty?
how does poverty relate to nature?
who works on this subject?
I do?
do others have good ideas?
can my ideas help others?
how many are there around that could too?
IUCN NL decided to build an online hub for those questions...
it convened 18 Dutch organisations to start with...
it connected with its global partners
with them Natureandpoverty.net was conceived...
and with them it chose its first themes
in 4 continents a network started to grow
and slowly the energy increases...
people and ideas are connecting...
and now we go global
a growing practitioners network
north and south
and now this portal appears...
for you to...
Peter.vanslui.......
Log in and ...
... enter your own world of ideas and help...
... explore connect, share and find...
find out how many peers you have...
connect to participating organisations...
... such as ...
share your own information ...
use a template to describe lessons learned ..
find information or other content ...
... for example, by theme ...
... for example on...
... or...
but there is more...
... this hub links other sites, such as...
LinkedIn, the professionals network ...
Facebook, the global social network ...
Flickr, pictures say more than words ...
YouTube, movies say even more ...
So join, connect, share, find, and...
... improve your own and others work and understanding...
... and succeed on preserving ecosystems for human well being...
