Colón Free Trade Zone, located strategically near the Atlantic entrance to the Panama Canal, is the second largest in the world after Hong Kong. Due to the progressive ‘Headquarters Law,’ over 120 multinational corporations have located their corporate management in Panama thanks to a number of tax incentives, such as a total exemption on income tax and exemption from sales tax for services rendered to corporations abroad.

These corporations are supported by an array of banks and international financial and professional service firms with offices in Panama City, adding an investment of one billion USD and 6,000 jobs to the country.
