Career Corridor: Soft skills training for UG and PG final year students

The Office of Placements and Centre for Academic and Professional Support (CAPS) jointly organized

four-hour soft skills training session for the final year UG and PG students. A total of 177 students

participated in the sessions held in the month of November 2017. The students were split into batches of

45 each, and external resource persons trained the students for 60 minutes on each different topics.

The topics covered were Writing Skills (Resume and Email) by Ms Nanditha Goud, Interview skills by Mr

Ajay Panda, Group Discussion skills by Mr Subodh Gajare and Grooming skills by Ms Neela Shashi Kumar.

The training session helped the students to gain insight into what to expect during an interview, how to

communicate effectively during a GD, how to draft a resume with relevant information and also on how

one should be groomed while facing an interview.
