RING COMPARISON
Cobalt Chrome
Cobalt is a bright white metal with a brilliant luster. Its weight is similar to Gold but many times harder and more durable. It can be combined with many other materials and is an excellent choice for customization. Cobalt rings need no special care and can be worn in nearly any environment or condition.
Zirconium
Zirconium is available in all black, or two-tone black and white. It is also an excellent choice to highlight another material as an inlay. It is hypoallergenic, has incredible chemical resistance, and is very lightweight. Zirconium is an ideal choice for customization in a modern, black ring, but is not ideal for wear in rough conditions or activities.
Titanium
Titanium is a light grey metal with great durability and strength. Titanium rings are lightweight, comfortable, and long lasting with no need for special care. They are hypoallergenic, chemically resistant and can be worn in nearly any environment. There are many options for inlays and customization.
Damascus Steel
Damascus Steel rings are made of two alternating types of stainless steel, forged together and worked by hand to produce vivid patterns. There are five distinctive patterns from which to choose. Each Damascus Steel ring is unique—no two designs will look exactly alike. These rings are very hard and durable with some customization available.
Precious Metal
Any Lashbrook style can be ordered in precious metals including: 10K, 14K, 18K yellow, rose, and white gold, as well as palladium and Platinum. Precious metal rings are available in classic styles, in combination with other materials, or as fully customized rings.
Ceramic & Tungsten Ceramic
Ceramic and Tungsten Ceramic rings are extremely hard and scratch resistant. Ceramic is electrically non-conductive and black all the way through. Tungsten Ceramic offers a sleek two-tone look. Both materials can be brittle and may break if worn in abusive conditions. Personalization can be added by laser engraving, but no customization is available on these styles.
Mokume Gane
Mokume is made by forging together different precious metal layers, then twisting and hand working the metal into stunning patterns. Each ring is truly one of a kind. Mokume is available as a solid ring or as an inlay in another metal.
Meteorite
Gibeon Meteorite was formed in space four billion years ago. The rarity, origin and pattern of each meteorite ring makes it a distinctive piece of art. Meteorite can be inlaid in any metal with 3-5mm inlay widths. Meteorite is primarily composed of iron. Everyday wear should prevent any rusting; however, care must be taken to prevent oxidation.
Carbon Fiber
Carbon Fiber is cut from a solid, seamless tube and inlaid in a 3-piece ring to create an authentic look and feel. Carbon Fiber inlays are lightweight, strong, and durable. It can be inlaid in any metal and comes in both black and silver color options.
Camo
Camo rings feature patterns licensed by Mossy Oak, RealTree, and King’s Camo. Camo inlays are sealed for durability. Choose from any one of our 36 stunning Camo patterns, then combine with the metal, style and finish of your choice.

Elysium by Lashbrook
Elysium rings are made of solid diamond. They are made from millions of lab-grown diamond crystals fused together by incredible temperature and pressure. They are hypoallergenic, extremely light weight, comfortable, will need no special care, and will never fade, dull, change color, or scratch. Elysium rings are simply the hardest, most scratch resistant rings on the planet—redefining luxury in a wedding ring.
Hardwood
Hardwood rings feature real, exotic hardwood, ethically sourced from all over the world. Every piece of hardwood is slightly different in color and grain making every ring one of a kind. They are sealed for protection from water and are very durable. However, care must be taken to avoid abuse to the inlay which may lead to breakage. Choose from 12 species of woods and combine it with your choice of metal, style and finish.

Damascus Steel rings by Lashbrook are exclusively produced in the United
States by our master craftsmen. These artisan make the Damascus
by hand, mimicking ANCIENT METALSMITHING techniques
originally used to make samurai swords. We heat, bond,
twist and fold two alternating types of Stainless Steel by
hand to produce vivid patterns. Like a fingerprint, no
two Damascus rings will have the exact same design.

Lashbrook Meteorite rings are made from authentic GIBEON METEORITE
formed in space four billion years ago. Gibeon meteorite is
well known for the striking pattern seen on its face (called
Widmanstatten lines), formed over millions of years of super
slow cooling. Each meteorite piece will vary slightly in
appearance and may contain inclusions which are often
composed of combinations of trace metals that are
not otherwise found on earth. The rarity, origin
and pattern of each meteorite ring makes it a
distinctive piece of art.

Cobalt rings by Lashbrook are made entirely in
the United States using an aerospace grade
alloy of Cobalt Chromium. Cobalt alloys are used
extensively where great strength is required
under incredible temperatures including JET
ENGINE TURBINES, afterburners, and surgical
implants. Cobalt is a bright white metal, similar
in color to Platinum, with a brilliant luster. Its
weight is similar to Gold but many times harder
and more durable. Cobalt rings need no special

Zirconium rings by Lashbrook are made in the United States using a high-tech Zirconium alloy. This alloy is used in exotic applications like NUCLEAR REACTORS, submarines and incendiary munitions. It is
a silver/grey color in its natural state, but its hard black oxide layer creates a perfect masculine look for a ring. Zirconium
is hypoallergenic with incredible chemical resistance. Zirconium rings are very lightweight, making them an
excellent choice for comfort with a modern look.

Mokume Gane is a JAPANESE PHRASE
MEANING “WOOD GRAIN METAL”. Mokume
was developed anciently among Japanese master
metalsmiths to add adornments to samurai swords
for the elite warrior class. Modern production
emulates old world techniques in many ways.
Mokume rings by Lashbrook are still made by hand
by our in-house artists forging together different
precious metal layers, then twisting and working
the metal into stunning patterns. Each ring is truly
one of a kind.

Ceramic and Tungsten Ceramic rings by Lashbrook are materials made through
a high-tech sintering process. Sintering is the modern adaptation of the
ANCIENT ART OF FIRING CLAY AND STONE MATERIALS to
create pottery and other products. These rings are extremely hard
and scratch resistant. Ceramic is black all the way through
and non-conductive. Tungsten Ceramic offers a sleek
two-tone look. Personalization through laser engraving
is available, but there are no other customization
options. Care must be taken in wear as these
rings may break if worn in abusive conditions.

RENDERING
DISPLAYS
All accounts are required to have a credit application on file. Any accounts that are 60 days past due will be put on COD or Credit Card terms. There is an additional $20 shipping charge on all COD orders.
Customers designing truly unique rings often would like to see how the finished product will look before we make the ring. Simply specify that you would like a rendering before we make the ring, when you place the custom order.
Renderings will typically be sent for approval within five business days. We do not begin to make the ring until we receive approval on the rendering. At the time the rendering is sent, we will also invoice you for the design time spent creating the render. When the rendering is approved and the ring is ordered, this amount will be credited against the price of the ring itself. Please note that if there is a wait for your approval, this may subsequently delay delivery of the ring.
Our goal for the display of our product is to be as inventive, unique, and customizable as the product itself. Our displays are made in-house from acrylic and embroidered vinyl, with aluminum hardware as accents. Producing these displays in-house allows us to use materials and styles not otherwise available and to offer some customization options.
In-case Signs
Our displays are designed to tell a story and make an emotional connection with the customer. Presenting rings in collections with in-case signage allows the product to stand out and communicate to the customer basic information about the rings. The signs are small 2.5” x 5” metal plaques made with stunning, full-color printing. Signs are currently available for Mokume, Damascus, Carbon Fiber, Elysium, Camo, and Lashbrook customization.
Cleaning/Care
Acrylic must not cleaned with any alcohol or ammonia based cleaners, including Windex and many other common cleaners. We provide a Lashbrook branded cleaning cloth and cleaning spray. This cleaner is formulated to help keep the acrylic clean
Custom orders are processed by the Custom Department. With all the variety and complexity that custom orders represent, it’s vital that we follow the same process on every order to ensure that each ring is delivered as anticipated.
This process begins with a phone call to (888-252-7388) or email to [email protected].
Once the initial design has been finalized, an estimate is created with a unique quote number which will serve as reference from that point forward. Each estimate will be emailed to you for review and confirmation.
Attached to each estimate is our guarantee for custom orders. It states that Lashbrook does not cover custom rings in the event of loss, theft, emergency removal, or size exchange. Custom ring orders are final and cannot be returned.
Once we have received the signed estimate and/or email confirmation, the estimate will be processed as a sales order. A copy of the sales order, with confirmation number, will be sent to you. This extra layer of confirmation—you to us, then again from us to you—ensures that there is no confusion regarding if or when a custom ring has actually been ordered. Know that unless you have received a confirmation number on a ring, there is no order in process.
Custom rings take fifteen business days to produce. Rushes will be considered on a case-by-case basis, based on circumstances such as complexity of the piece. Custom rush fees start at $50.

CAMO
THE STORY BEHIND THE RING WEAR & CARE
SALES HIGHLIGHTS
GENERAL INFO
All of our camo rings (with 2 exceptions) are licensed product with their respective camo companies. We license with King’s (exclusive to Lashbrook), Real Tree and Mossy Oak. These companies use sophisticated graphic design, high definition photography and photo-realistic printing to create 3-D camouflage patterns for virtually any environment. These companies have made camo nearly universal in its reach it is on products from hunting to cell phone chargers. Camo has worked its way into modern culture so deeply that nearly any product is made with a camo version. Overall, there are 36 patterns, which can be combined in any of our metals, styles and finishes.
Those who purchase camo rings are usually the same customers who are likely to be physically hard on their rings; specifically, men and women who hunt and work with their hands. Managing the expectations of customers is important so they will be happy with their purchase in the long run. Anodized aluminum camo rings are not usually well suited for especially rough activities. As long as the customer knows that they should not wear their ring during activities that will damage the ring, camo can be a great choice.
Aluminum camo can be dulled if left in the ultrasonic for extended periods of time. Otherwise, either kind of camo ring can be cleaned in any way. For refurbishment, rings should be returned to Lashbrook.
• Appeals to a very distinctive group of customers that
jewelers often overlook
• For the right customer, these rings sell themselves
• A ring that is sure to be talked about
• Licensed, photo-realistic camo patterns from the major
US camo companies
There are two types of Camo. Our original method for making camo rings involves an anodized printing process that imprints the pattern on aluminum bar. This bar is then cut and inserted into a 3-piece ring similar to the Hardwood or Carbon Fiber rings. One selling feature of this style is its characteristic metallic look. One disadvantage is that it has a lower resolution and scratches on the camo allow the aluminum to show through it.
The new method we use in making camo rings is to print the patterns on a specialized material with high-definition color and resolution. This printed material gets a layer of resin over the top to protect it. This resin layer is shiny and hard. As wear and scratches appear, the resin protects the camo inlay. The resin can be easily polished.
127
CARBON FIBER
THE STORY BEHIND THE RING SALES HIGHLIGHTS
GENERAL INFO
Lashbrook Carbon Fiber rings utilize structural, solid Carbon Fiber and are made entirely in the United States. Our Carbon Fiber is produced locally by one of our partner manufacturers whose products can be found in high-tech applications varying from Formula 1 racing and aerospace engineering to competitive cycling.
Carbon Fiber has one of the highest strength-to-weight ratios of any product ever created. The raw material used to make Carbon Fiber is a mix of compounds, mostly consisting of carbon ring organic polymers. This material is drawn into long strands, or fibers, and then heated in a controlled environment. The heat causes the atoms in the fibers to vibrate violently until most of the non-carbon atoms are expelled. The material left after the heating process is composed of thin, tightly wound carbon strands which are then processed through stabilization, spinning and weaving. The final product uses resin to bind the composite.
• Strong and light: has highest strength to weight ratio of
any material
• Authentic, structural Carbon Fiber used in every ring
• A modern, unique look often used in designs to highlight
the two-tone contrast in materials
Our Carbon Fiber is produced in thin tubes which are then cut into narrow slices and mounted in our rings. This process allows for the entire Carbon Fiber inlay to be set into the piece without cutting or modifying the structure of the Carbon Fiber. Lashbrook’s method of inlaying real pieces of Carbon Fiber sets us apart in the industry. Most other Carbon Fiber rings feature an imitation product which looks nice, but which has none of the strength and authenticity of legitimate Carbon Fiber.
Carbon Fiber rings are lightweight, strong and durable, making special care unnecessary. They can be cleaned by steam, ultrasonic, or jewelry cleaner. The rings can be factory refurbished at any time. Like any ring, they will show normal wear and tear over time.

COBALT CHROME
THE STORY BEHIND THE RING WEAR & CARE
SALES HIGHLIGHTS
GENERAL INFO
Cobalt and Chromium are both elements on the periodic table of elements. Cobalt Chrome is an alloy where Chromium, Cobalt, and a few other metals are mixed together. Cobalt Chrome is often used specifically for its strength in abusive applications with high temperatures, such as in jet engine turbines. One of the first uses for Cobalt Chrome was in dental implants. Then, as hypoallergenic and biocompatible characteristics of the metal were studied, Cobalt Chrome was eventually utilized in various orthopedic applications.
Cobalt Chrome is considered a hypoallergenic metal. While our Cobalt Chrome does contain some nickel, it is still used in medical applications including cardiovascular stents and bone repair. Although we do not often see allergy issues, those with skin sensitivities to nickel could potentially show some reaction.
Cobalt Chrome rings need no special care. They can be worn in all kinds of environments and conditions. The metal will scuff and mar over time, but will hold up to a great deal of abuse without cracking, breaking, or showing deep scratches. The rings will not fade or change color over time, and can be cleaned with a regular jewelry cleaner, steam, or ultrasonic.
• White, similar in color to platinum
• Has a weight similar to gold
• Harder and more durable than precious metals
• Diamonds and gemstones can be set with channel, flush, bezel, and bead set options
Cobalt Chrome rings have gained incredible popularity over a short period of time, largely due to weight and color. The metal has the heft of gold and the look of rhodium plated platinum, while being many times harder and more durable than either. Despite its hardness, it can be personalized with various gemstone settings and inlays. Camo, Meteorite, Hardwood, precious metal inlays, and mosaics (such as lapis) can be added, making cobalt chrome an ideal choice for both plain bands and custom designs.

Damascus rings can be finished in any combination of acid, beadblast, and polish finishes. Satin, stone, cross satin, sandblast, and other aggressive finishes are not offered because they leave no visible contrast between the layers of metal and hide the texture you can otherwise feel. Regardless of the finish, the surface on the outside of the rings have tangible contrast so customers can feel the unique pattern of the Damascus. However, we leave the inside of the rings with a smoother finish more conducive to everyday wear.
The acid finish is the darkest of the finishes and best shows the contrast between the metal layers. While there are some pictures of acid finished rings in our catalogue and website that appear black, it would be uncommon for that color to be repeated. The black is either from how the photography was done or from a rare, dark ring.
A polished finish on a Damascus Steel band will be different than the high polish you see on other metals. The polish finish is done so the ring shines, but without polishing the texture away.
Beadblast finish is dull or matte. It is darker than polish but not as dark as an acid finish. It also makes the contrast between the patterned metals more subtle since they appear nearly the same color. Beadblast tends to look best when done in combination with the acid finish on a two-tone finished band.
DAMASCUS
THE STORY BEHIND THE RING FINISHES
SOURCE
The history behind Damascus Steel is one of the most compelling aspects of this metal. Damascus was a type of steel used in Middle Eastern sword making. While the exact origins of the craft are unknown, the blacksmiths producing Damascus became famous for the quality of their superior weaponry. The name Damascus Steel stems from either the original Syrian blacksmiths originating the art, or the Damask pattern itself.
The technology used to create Damascus Steel became so guarded that over centuries it was eventually lost. Modern scientific study has been able to identify many of the original techniques used, but not completely recreate it. Scientists have found nanowires, carbon nanotubes, exotic microalloying elements, and characteristics of superplasticity in ancient Damascus swords. While modern production processes can produce metals with all of these characteristics, the presence of these high-tech elements from an ancient art is what made them so advanced for their time, revered, and eventually the source of legend.
Lashbrook contracts with a local artist renowned for the highest quality Damascus production. Our Damascus Steel uses forging techniques and artistry made possible only by talent perfected over years of experience. First, the metal layers are stacked in a large billet, then heated to begin the bonding process. While the metal is still hot, a mechanized hammer is used to manipulate the metal by hand. The craftsman twists, turns, and folds the metal through cycles of heating, turning, and hammering to create the patterns in the steel. This hand-made process means that each piece of Damascus will be slightly different. No two rings will ever be identical.
After patterning the metal, there can be up to 120 layers in each piece of finished Damascus. The slow, cyclical process of working the metal is part of what gives Damascus Steel its unique properties: increased hardness, strength, resistance to shattering, ability to be honed to a resilient edge, and a unique finish.

All our Damascus rings are made with stainless steel. Nearly all steels contain nickel, and are not a good choice for those with nickel allergies. The processing of steel to make our Damascus leaves the metal approximately twice the hardness of titanium and Cobalt Chrome. Despite its hardness, Damascus rings will scuff and show wear. However, the pattern and texture of the Damascus hides the scratches much better than a normal ring, making Damascus one of the best wearing metals we offer.
Beadblast finish shows wear faster than others. Acid finish will lighten over time and resemble more of a dull polish. Any of the finishes can be factory refurbished at any time to return them to a like-new state.
Customers should avoid salt water and harsh chemicals. Exposure to these strong oxidizing agents can make the ring more susceptible to rusting. Under normal conditions, Damascus Steel rings wear very well and do not have problems with rusting. While customers can clean these rings by ultrasonic, steam or jewelry cleaner, all touch-ups or refurbishing should be sent to us.

ELYSIUM
THE STORY BEHIND THE RING
WEAR & CARE
GENERAL INFO
Elysium black diamond rings are just that—solid diamond. Diamond is the hardest material on earth, rated a 10 on the Mohs scale. It is at least four times harder than tungsten and ten times harder than ceramic. Diamond cannot be scratched, except by other diamond. Elysium is about 10% harder than natural occurring diamond. This means that Elysium diamond rings can be worn for a lifetime and never be scratched unless exposed to another source of diamond material. They are the hardest, most scratch-resistant rings available on Earth.
Elysium rings are made with Polycrystal diamonds (PCD) which are laboratory-created or engineered. Many industries have made use of this technology. For example, diamond drill bits used for oil and gas exploration allow a drill to tunnel up to ten times deeper per set of bits. In 2014, the first two vertebrae replacement surgeries using diamond prosthetics were successfully performed. Over 1000 surgeries are projected for 2015 and other prosthetics are now in development.
Over 10 million dollars has been spent to prove the safety of engineered diamond for use in the body, a property called biocompatibility. Over the course of 18 years, 30 million dollars was spent developing this technology. This research led to the issuing of seven new patents, securing their creators the exclusive right to manufacture this innovative product. With this new technology and expertise, the founders of Elysium turned to jewelry and the Elysium black diamond ring was born. Lashbrook is the exclusive distributor of this revolutionary product.
The random alignment or non-symmetrical orientation of the individual crystals during this sintering process produces a solid that does not allow for the reflection of light. This causes Elysium diamond rings to be black in color.
Elysium rings can be broken off for emergency removal. Like tungsten or ceramic, it is possible for the ring to break if abused. However, as diamond is much lighter and stronger than tungsten or ceramic, they will perform much better in everyday wear. In drop tests, most tungsten rings will readily break when dropped from a height of four feet, whereas Elysium rings only break consistently when dropped at heights of 16 feet.
There are six styles to choose from: domed, rounded, beveled, lasered (on any profile), diamond inset (on any profile), and inlay (silver or gold). Sizes range from 7 to 12 in whole and half sizes. More sizes will soon be available. 8mm is the only width currently available, but both narrower and wider styles are scheduled for release in the near future.
The style with the diamond inset is available in white and multiple shades of green, pink, yellow, blue, and black diamond. With the exception of white, all are VS1-SI1 and color enhanced.
Diamond inset rings should not be cleaned by ultrasonic or steam and must be checked by a jeweler biannually. Besides this single note, there are not special care instructions for Elysium rings.
Elysium rings can be replaced due to size exchange or accidental breakage at no cost for one year. After the first year, the ring can be replaced at any time with a small deductible of 40% the original wholesale cost. This same coverage also applies if the ring is lost or stolen.
Black diamond rings are made by fusing 20-25 million diamond crystals together to form a solid, polycrystalline diamond. To grow, or sinter, these diamonds, a force of 1 million pounds per square inch (PSI) is applied, with heat up to 1600 degrees. Under these tremendous temperatures and pressures, the individual diamonds literally grow together by overlapping their molecular structures. CONTINUED...

ELYSIUM
FAQ’S
SALES HIGHLIGHTS
Q: Will it show as a diamond on a diamond tester?
A: It depends on the tester. The sintering process requires a small amount of proprietary material to act as a catalyst for the growth of the diamond crystals. This material can throw off diamond testers which test for electrical conductivity, showing that the ring is not diamond. However, thermal testers will confirm that the material is diamond. Some testers have both thermal and electric options.
Q: Will the black fade or come off? Does the color extend all the way through the ring?
A: The black goes all the way through. The random alignment or non-symmetrical orientation of the individual crystals from the sintering process produces a solid that does not allow for the reflection of light, making Elysium diamond rings black. The black will not fade or wear away.
Q: How do you describe Elysium diamond rings?
A: Elysium rings are solid diamond rings. Technically, they are a PCD or Polycrystalline diamond.
• Avoid the term synthetic because of the negative connotation. We prefer engineered diamond.
• It is acceptable to refer to them as laboratory-created, lab-grown, or man-made diamond.
• Avoid describing them as 100% diamond.
• Elysium rings cannot be called natural or naturally-occurring diamond.
• Because the rings are diamond, we can describe the ring by its weight in carats. Each ring will ship with a warranty/care card that includes a serial number and carat weight. Most rings will weigh 15-18 carats.
Q: Do Elysium rings scratch?
A: Elysium rings can only be scratched by another diamond. They can scratch other materials, including display case glass (careful). On occasion the ring will look scratched, but it is simply residue left on the ring from another material. This residue can be removed with Scotch Brite pads or sandpaper. Do not use diamond grit sandpaper as diamond can scratch the ring.
Q: Can the ring be broken off in an emergency?
A: Yes, using a pair of vice grips or a ring cracker.
• Solid Diamond
• Lightweight
• Most scratch resistant material in the world
• Will never fade or change
• A ring like no other

HARDWOOD
THE STORY BEHIND THE RING
SALES HIGHLIGHTS
GENERAL INFO
Lashbrook uses only ethically sourced Hardwood for our wood rings. These wood species represent 12 of the most beautiful, rare and exotic hardwoods available in the world. The wood comes from a variety of countries of origin representing nearly every major region of the world.
Spalted varieties of wood are extremely rare. Spalted wood occurs naturally when a tree dies and falls and fungus begins to enter the heart of the wood through its natural grain. As this occurs it blackens the wood along grain boundaries. If harvested at just the right time, the spalting can be seen throughout the wood before the natural deterioration becomes too great to render the wood unusable. Check out our options of Tamarind wood.
Burl wood also occurs naturally as an abnormal growth on a tree. This rare occurrence appears as a rounded, deformed outgrowth with deformed grain creating small knots and dormant buds. These pieces of tree have uncommon character and beautiful patterns making them highly sought after because of this incredible appearance and rarity. You can see examples including: Box Elder, Thuya, Maple Burl, etc.
• Real exotic hardwood inlays
• Rare foreign species including burls and spalted varieties
• Variation between each inlay in color and character makes every ring unique
• Sealed for water protection and durabilityHardwood is available as an inlay in any metal, either contemporary or precious. These inlays are protected from water and wear by a resin layer which seals the wood and gives it a high gloss finish. Wood inlays start at 3mm as anything smaller than this would be both too brittle and too small to highlight the wood.
WEAR & CARE
The resin layer over the wood seals it from moisture. However, it is recommend to avoid prolonged exposure to water and to chemicals. We also recommend that these rings be worn with care and be removed during harsh activities or in environments that would be potentially damaging to the wood inlay.
The resin also protects the wood from scratching and other damage and can in many cases be repolished to return the ring to it original beauty. We will factory refurbish these rings anytime for free. We similarly guarantee the inlay for life in the case of cracking or breakage. It is important to manage the expectations of customers on how they can expect to wear a wood inlay so they will take the appropriate care and will be happy with the ring for life.

METEORITE
THE STORY BEHIND THE RING
GENERAL INFO
SALES HIGHLIGHTS
Lashbrook currently uses only authentic Gibeon Meteorite, from the West African country of Namibia. Gibeon Meteorite is found over an area 171 miles long and 62 miles wide. It is classified as a fine octahedrite, where the metal shows crystalline structure normally found only in gemstones. This visible crystal structure, or Widmanstatten pattern, was caused by the extremely slow cooling of the material at the core of the asteroid in space. As one of the most inert of the larger meteorites found on Earth, it is less prone to oxidation and has a better Widmanstatten pattern due to the presence of a small amount of nickel.
For most people, the meteorite should remain inert and rust-free during the course of normal wear. Because of this natural rust inhibition, Gibeon is one of the most popular types of Meteorite used in jewelry. With ever-increasing demand, The availability of raw material continues to decrease thus increasing its rarity and price.
Each piece of Meteorite cut for a ring has its own unique characteristics. The lines and pattern will vary between pieces, as will the presence of random inclusions. These inclusions are typically seen as dark spots or tiny holes on the surface of the Meteorite and are often rare traces of metal that represent combinations of materials that, in some cases, do not occur naturally on Earth. It is these rare inclusions that geologists often use to identify authenticity of a meteorite and through which they can identify its origin. Due to this natural variation in the Meteorite and because of its increasing rarity, stores should prepare customers to anticipate that each piece of Meteorite will be slightly different and manage their expectations of what their ring will look like.
Lashbrook produces styles incorporating Meteorite in contemporary metals, precious metals and combinations of the two. Meteorite can be inlaid in the center of a ring or off-center, in either a round or square band. It can be also be made with a sleeve or inlaid on the very edge of a ring.
• Limited supply
• Rare, Exotic
• As a natural material, each piece will be unique with no
two rings being identical
• COMES FROM SPACE
WEAR & CARE
Despite its natural protection against rust, Meteorite is primarily composed of iron, so oxidation is always a possibility. Exposure to strong oxidizing agents such as chlorine, bleach or salt can change the pH of the metal and increase chances of rusting. These chemicals, found in some household cleaners, pools, hot tubs, and salt water, should be avoided.
If rust appears, clean the ring with a little baking soda (or baking soda toothpaste) and a toothbrush. The ring can also be cleaned with an ultrasonic and steamer. Be sure to rinse and dry thoroughly. Trace amount of water can be removed by soaking in acetone (nail polish remover). When clean and dried, re-apply a layer of oil to the Meteorite. This will help seal the pores from water. Re-application of the oil at least every six months will provide additional protection for the ring.
Years of wear could eventually cause the pattern on the Meteorite to fade. Lashbrook can re-etch the Meteorite, bringing the Widmanstatten lines back to their original look and feel.

MOKUME GANE
THE STORY BEHIND THE RING
GENERAL INFO
SALES HIGHLIGHTS
WEAR & CARE
Mokume Gane is a Japanese phrase that translates to English as “wood grain metal”. The art of Mokume was developed sometime during the 17th century by Samurai sword master metalsmiths as adornment for the hilts of their famed swords. These swords became symbols of the owners’ status and wealth. The craftsmanship that went into the creation of some of these swords has become legendary, lasting through the centuries.
A renaissance of artists learning and practicing the art of Mokume has occurred in the United States over the last 30 years. Currently, more people are producing Mokume in the US than in Japan. Mokume Gane jewelry is increasing in popularity as customers become aware of this remarkable art form.
The unique process for producing Mokume begins with stacking thin, precious metal sheets in a billet. This billet is compressed and secured under great pressure while heated. Great skill and expertise is required to make Mokume because the metal has to be heated just below the melting point, but just above the temperature at which the metal begins to soften and melt. This specific temperature allows the grains or molecules of the various metals to cross boundaries and form a unique blended metal called an eutectic alloy. Over the course of heating, the layers of metal become one solid block.
The solid billet is then rolled, folded, twisted, and deformed to give the characteristic Mokume pattern. Each piece of Mokume goes through this hand-formed process resulting in entirely unique pieces of jewelry in every batch. As much as eight hours of hand-worked labor goes into the production of even a single inlay of Mokume.
• Handcrafted, made by hand by our master metalsmiths
• One of a kind, no two rings will be identical
• A blend of 2-3 precious metals
Mokume is like any precious metal: soft, prone to scratching and deformation, but also sizable. The Shakudo in our Mokume is 95% copper and 5% gold. This metal is copper in color but with a patina turns a nice black color for added contrast. Shakudo does naturally patina/etch over time. Some people have a slightly more acidic pH in their skin/sweat which will etch this metal away more rapidly. Customers should be aware of the patina color in samples and photography so there isn’t a surprise when the black fades during wear.
AVAILABILITY
Our Mokume is available in the following metal combinations:
• SSPD- Sterling Silver with 14K Palladium-White Gold
• 14KWSH- 14K Palladium-White Gold with Shakudo

CUSTOM PATTERNS
FINGERPRINTING
Laser technology at Lashbrook gives you options in both engraving and carving.
“Engravings” are lasered patterns etched on the surface of the ring. This can be done on any material we offer, on either the outside or inside of the ring. The possibilities for design with engravings are unlimited. This engraving allows for incredibly complex and detailed patterns.
“Carvings” are lasered patterns that are actually cut into the ring. The laser literally incinerates the metal for more distinctive looks using height contrasts. The laser leaves the lowered surface with a very mottled, rough texture, adding to the contrast in finish and look.
Each metal looks a little different with lasering. Cobalt and titanium lasered patterns are typically darker and can be either antiqued or E-coated dark black for added contrast. Zirconium can be laser carved in either grey/white or black. Examples of combinations are on our website.
Lasered styles are a great example of product which can be easily personalized in a large variety of ways. We can laser fingerprints, sound waves, coordinates, Roman numerals, patterns, words, duck/bird bands, etc.
To add a soundwave on the outside of a ring, add $75 ($50 for the inside) to the cost of any ring for the recording, conversion and engraving of each soundwave. There is a plug-in on our website for the customer to upload or record their sound for us to engrave. We will match uploaded file with the orders as they come through customer service. This conversion process is unique and technical. We partner with another company for the graphic design and digital conversion process.
Highlight with customers that soundwave engravings tell an incredible story. Songs, a secret message and a fetal heartbeat are all examples of this special new option.
Lasered styles are highly customizable. We have done everything from custom art from customers themselves, to customized celtic patterns and everything in between. Contact us with custom ideas for unique laser patterns as the possibilities are nearly endless.
Fingerprints are laser carved onto the outside of any ring, or engraved (surface only) on the inside of any ring. The best results are with a simple, wide section where the fingerprint is easily visible. Rings with lots of pattern or texture like Damascus Steel don’t show the print well.
The cost to add a fingerprint to a ring is $75. Multiple fingerprints can also be wrapped around a ring. The cost for each additional fingerprint is $50.
Instructions for Fingerprinting
1. Use a common fingerprint pad, available from most office supply stores.
2. Use regular, white copy paper or cardstock.
3. Firmly press finger to ink pad without rolling the finger. Just go straight down and straight up.
4. Repeat same motion onto the paper.
5. A good fingerprint has distinctive lines without so much ink that the ridge lines smear together.
6. Please provide several prints so that we can choose the best one.
7. Send us the actual page through the mail so we can take a high-resolution scan.

TITANIUM
THE STORY BEHIND THE RING
WEAR & CARE
Titanium is an element on the periodic table of elements. There are many different grades of titanium alloy. Commercially pure titanium is a common choice for jewelry and is 99% pure titanium. Lashbrook exclusively uses the alloy Ti6AL4V, an aerospace grade of the metal. This alloy is more expensive, harder to work with, but is stronger than pure titanium.
Titanium is used in many applications across a diverse range of industries. It is found in nearly all living things, water, rocks, and soil. Its hypoallergenic properties account for its extensive use in medical implants. Titanium has the highest strength-to-weight ratio of any metallic element, making it an ideal choice for components in the aerospace industry and in military applications.
Titanium has a unique property allowing for anodizing in many colors. Anodizing is simply an oxidation of the metal which refracts light in bright, vibrant colors. The anodized layer is very thin and wears away quickly but in the right design (grooves and recessed areas) can stay looking nice over time.
Titanium rings need no special care. They can be worn in all kinds of environments and conditions. The metal will scuff and show wear over time but holds up to a great deal of abuse without cracking, breaking, bending, etc. It will not fade or change color over time. Titanium rings can be cleaned with regular jewelry cleaner, steam, and ultrasonic.
Titanium is the only metal in which Lashbrook offers tension-set diamonds. These rings should be worn with care as the diamond can be chipped or lost from the setting if abused.
SALES HIGHLIGHTS
• Lightweight
• Aerospace grade alloy, strongest metallic element by weight
• Hypoallergenic
• Many options for setting including tension setting, due to great metal memory and strength

ZIRCONIUM
THE STORY BEHIND THE RING
BLACK
WEAR & CARE
Zirconium is an element on the periodic table of elements. Zirconium rings are made from an alloy which also includes hafnium, iron, niobium, and other trace elements. With this combination of metals, we can recommend it for customers complaining of allergies to nickel, precious metals, and most other metal sensitivities. To our current knowledge, we’ve never heard of anyone with a Zirconium sensitivity or allergy.
Zirconium has incredible chemical resistance and does not readily react with solvents, acids, bases, or any other common chemicals with which people have contact. This ability to resist chemical reaction makes Zirconium an ideal choice for exotic applications. For example, the chambers that hold the radioactive rods in nuclear reactors are coated with Zirconium. With the right processing Zirconium is highly flammable and burns an intense, bright white; therefore, it is used in incendiary munitions and fireworks.
Zirconium starts as a grey metal and through our proprietary heating process, a layer of Zirconium oxide grows on the metal as a dark, pure black finish. This black layer is much harder than raw Zirconium, but also very thin. Unlike oxidized silver and black rhodium, this layer does not rub off over time. It is also more durable than coated rings like on black titanium and black tungsten.
The black layer of Zirconium is subject to scratching and the silver can show through as it scratches. Managing expectations and helping customers understand the nature of Zirconium is absolutely fundamental to ensuring long-term satisfaction. Customers who are very hard on their rings may not want to purchase a Zirconium ring unless willing to care for it properly. Ceramic or Elysium could be
good alternatives for someone looking for a black ring. On the other hand, Zirconium is the most versatile of all black metal rings and, if taken care of, can last many years.
Zirconium gives the most options for design, style, and customization of any black material. These rings can be made in 3-piece variations, inlaid, set with diamonds and gemstones, carved and laser carved, and made in unique designs and shapes. Gems are typically set with bezels but, depending on the variety, we can also offer flush, bead, and channel settings. When a Zirconium ring has a carved or milled design on it, the ring can be either two-toned silver and black or all black. Laser carved patterns are also available in two color combinations: all black and a white/grey with black combination.
FINISHES
SALES HIGHLIGHTS
While many finishes are available in Zirconium, polish represents the vast majority of all Zirconium rings we make. Where Zirconium is often used as accent with inlaid rings such as Meteorite, camo, and hard wood, the dark black of the polish finish gives the most contrast. The more aggressive the finish, the lighter the final product. For example, satin finish on Zirconium is slightly lighter than polish, whereas a tree bark finish is a much lighter grey. The heavier, textured finishes are not as consistent or appealing on Zirconium and are rarely ordered.
• Deep black color available in pure black or two-tone black/silver• Hypoallergenic with an unparalleled chemical resistance• Unlike other black rings, inlays, diamonds and gemstones can
be incorporated• Strong without being brittle and will not break when dropped or
worn• Black is not a coating which wears away or fades over time,
though scratching is possible
