Laser marking systems

Top quality from prototype to series manufacturing

Laser cabin

Perfect for very small and individual series

Intelligent design for a flexible housing. With 1901mm height and 800mm width, this housing can be used in the most diverse situations. Equipped with a piv-oting arm, it will fit through all standard doors. The electrical drive of the cabin's protective door eliminates the need for compressed air. The large and easily-op-erated protective door of the PLW facili-tates loading by the operator.

Thanks to ergonomic and compact de-sign, the PLW is optimally suited for the flexible solution of a multitude of mark-ing tasks. The different model variants provide answers to very different appli-cation challenges – due to the laser head movable in X- and Z-direction and the placement of the component

on the grooved plate movable in Y-direction. An LPW variant with a 360° rotation axis is designed for circumferential labelling. The software remembers all settings required for axis movements.

• Servo-driven X- and Z-axis with travel:- X-axis 500mm- Y-axis 430mm- Z-axis 300mm

• Servo-driven rotation axis

• Servo-driven rotary indexing table 650mm ø

• Various clamping devices depending on specification

Laser marking system inserts

The laser protective housings allow the full integration of the laser marking system to be selected by the future user.

We ensure that any laser – fibre or CO2 – can be integrated in the machine housing.

The Power Laser Workstation allows you to mark a multitude of materials and geometries.

Depending on the laser focus, the maximum work piece height is between 190mm and 413mm.

The Power Laser workstation offers a large marking area making it extremely flexible for marking components with different dimensions.

The software controlling the cabin is individually programmed, easy to oper-ate, has multitude of functions and actuates all axes.

Thus, you can label or mark multiple parts within one sequence as the settings are stored in the memory.

Marking options

The various design variants enable the application in any industrial sector.

The combination of laser protective housing (4-axis control) and the Panasonic 3D laser marking systems ensure that even highly complex mark-ings can be realised.

Standard functions of

Batch management for laser markersA single computer can centrally control multiple laser marking systems – con-nect several laser marking systems to one computer and upload the configura-tion files in parallel to all laser marking systems. Management functions include settings and operational state monitor-ing.

"On-the-fly" markingThe Panasonic laser marking systems are equipped with encoder interface for realis-ing "on-the-fly" marking at conveyor speeds of up to 240m/min.

Focussing laserTo optimally determine the centre and distances of labelling, Panasonic laser marking systems are equipped with a fo-cussing laser.

Marking 1D and 2D codesThe matrix marking function is used for the batch inscription of PCBs, trays and pallets and allows a higher throughput speed during the production of semicon-ductors and electronic components.

Optimised marking sequenceThe Panasonic laser marking systems automatically calculate the most efficient marking sequence and optimal marking speed.

Marking simulation with pilot laserThe highly-visible, red pilot laser initially draws the position of the marking informa-tion and thus provides you with the option to visually check the marking position be-fore executing the actual marking.

USB interfaceBackup the system settings of your laser marking system to an USB stick and save your marking variables or transfer them into other laser marking systems.

Focus adjustmentTo simplify calibration during assembly, use the newly-developed function for focus fine adjustment. Neither laser head nor control-ler must be moved.

Performance testThis function allows you to quickly and easily check whether the current laser output still meets the original level. The monitor displays the total radiation peri-od to simplify maintenance.

PasswordThe password function enables restrict-ing access and thus ensures that certain information and system settings are pro-tected from tampering. Default values cannot be overwritten by mistake and the entire set-up and maintenance process is more stable.

Help functionThe Help function in the Panasonic laser marker supports the user when starting the system for the first time. Detailed messages indicate potential configura-tion errors and help in the save naviga-tion through the various setting options.

FONT MAKER softwareUse this software to create and modi-fy your own fonts to be used when in-scribing with the laser marking system. A great function when you need to use registered "®“ fonts for company or product names.

Laser Marker NAVI PC softwareEasily plan and create the layout of the con-tents to be inscribed (text, logos, bar codes, etc.) and their visual appearance and posi-tion using the intuitive, mouse-controlled GUI of the Laser Marker NAVI PC software. This software also enables system monitor-ing, recording fault events and checking in-puts and outputs.

Offline configurationCreate and save your data files anywhere and transfer them to the laser marking system when required or convenient. You don't need a local computer but simply copy your marking variables to a USB stick before using the touch panel to transfer them into the laser marking system.

Standard functions of

Logo editing softwareThe software for editing logo files features a user-friendly interface for editing your log-os without having to install commercial CAD software.

LOGO CONVERTERThe software module for converting logo data converts your logos and other graphi-cal information from the DXF, HPGL, BMP or JPEG formats into the VEC format required by the machine. Files created with Adobe Illustrator® as AI and EPS can be converted with the "Export Vec" command.
