Siemens IA/DT Large Drives has nine production sites, five co-operations and more

than fifteen license partners worldwide. The products produced in all sites comply

with the highest production, quality and safety standards.

This is also the case for our production base in China. We have two operating

companies - Siemens Electrical Drives Ltd. in Tianjin and Siemens Standard Motors

Ltd. in Yizheng which produce drives and motors locally. Siemens Electrical Drives

(Shanghai) Ltd. which located in Shanghai, is another operating company, producing

MV converter - Perfect Harmony series. Siemens puts great emphasis on a steady

exchange of information between each of the production sites. This assures that

西门子电气传动有限公司（SEDL）是德国西门子股份公司工业自动化

与驱动技术集团与中方伙伴合作在中国建立的生产工程型全数字控

制的交流和直流传动产品及高低压电机的基地。采用西门子公司的

最新技术成果，SEDL 与西门子在欧美的其它生产厂按相同的工艺

技术要求及质量标准制造传动产品，从而保证了产品质量。

西门子电气传动有限公司建立于 1995 年，先后引进了直流传动

产品 6RA70/6RA28 和交流传动产品 6SE70/71，中压变频调速

装置 SIMOVERT MV。为满足国内用户对西门子变频器和电机不

断增长的需要，同时提供给客户更快捷的服务和更具竞争力的产

品，2003 年西门子在天津电气传动有限公司投产了高低压电机

H-compact/N-compact 系列。至此，在中国，西门子是唯一能够提

供本地化高低压交流传动系统的生产企业。

Siemens Electrical Drives Ltd. (SEDL), founded by IA/DT Siemens

AG and its Chinese partners, is a production base in Tianjin,

China for fully-digital controlled AC and DC drives as well as HV &

LV motors. Making use of state-of-the-art technology of Siemens

AG, SEDL manufactures on the same technical basis and quality

control level as the Siemens factories in Europe and America.

Therefore the quality of the products of SEDL reaches the same

level as products of other Siemens factories.

SDEL was established in 1995 and since 1996, SEDL started to

produce the new series of Siemens DC Drives 6RA70/6RA28, AC

Drives 6SE70/71, SIMOVERT MV. In order to meet the increasing

needs for Siemens drives and motors, and to provide customers

with more competitive products and quick response of service, in

2003 Siemens launched the production for high and low voltage

motor series H-compact/N-compact in SEDL. Up till now, Siemens

is the only supplier in China who can provide local made high

and low voltage drives systems.

SEDL does not only provide products for domestic customers, but

also for customers abroad, covering the industrial branches: iron

& steel, petrochemical, oil & gas, mining, pulp & paper, power,

water/water treatment, cement, rubber, etc.

A quality management system is implemented in each process

of SEDL operation according to international standard ISO 9002,

e.g. contract administration, logistics, manufacturing, after

sales service, etc.

In co-operation with Siemens Ltd., China, SEDL provides full-

scale service to all of our customers from application clarifi cation,

sales support, technical training to after sales service, etc. By

following our principle of continuous development and creating

customer value with innovative drives, systems and service, SEDL

provides customers not only with technical support but also

new application support and service for industry branches. SEDL

will continuously work hard for our goal to become center of

competence for engineered drives in China and Southeast Asia.

Siemens Standard Motors Ltd. (SSML), set up in Yizheng, Jiangsu

Province in December 2005, was a joint venture between SLC

and Jiangsu Beide Electrical Machinery Corporation. With the

completion of stock transfer between the two parties in July

2009, SSML has become a fully-owned operating company

of Siemens Ltd., China. SSML will continuously dedicated to

optimizing and improving the performance and quality of its

products, and better serving its customers in Chinese market.

With 125,000 square meters, the company develops and

produces low-voltage motors in the medium and low power

range. SSML's local motor series 1LG0 is produced in according

with IEC standard and fully meets customers' requirements. By

the excellent performance, 1LGO series motor was widely applied

in textile, pump, fan and compressor etc.

Being one of IA&DT's low-voltage motor production facilities,

SSML applies the entire knowledge and experience of more than

100 years of Siemens motor manufacturing and provides the best

product and service to customers.

SEDS is transformed from former ASI -Robicon Electrical

(Shanghai) Ltd., a subsidiary of global-leading medium voltage

AC drives provider Robicon Corp. In July, 2005, Siemens acquired

Robicon, ASI-Robicon became an operating company of Siemens

Ltd., China with the new name of Siemens Electrical Drives

(Shanghai) Ltd.,

As one of the best successful converters brands, Perfect Harmony

MV converter is well accepted and widely used in various

industrial branches, including power, petrochemical, water/

SIMOREG DC-MASTER 6RA70 are fully-digital, line-commutated

drive converters which are connected to three-phase line

supplies. They are used to control the armature and fi eld circuits

of variable-speed DC motors. The rated DC current, specifi ed on

the equipment rating plate (maximum permissible continuous

DC current) can be exceeded up to 1.5 times in operation. The

maximum overload time depends on the overload current

characteristics and the preload condition of the drive converter

and is drive converter specific. Because of an integrated

parameterizing device, the drive units are autonomous and no

additional programming or measuring equipment is required to

parameterize them. All of the functions of the open-loop and

closed-loop control for the armature and fi eld circuits are realized

in two high-performance 16-bit microprocessors.

SINAMICS G130 is the Siemens chassis

format solution for high-rating single motor

drives without regenerativefeedback into

the line supply. These are predominantly

applications that have square-law load

torques, i.e. machines such as pumps,

fans and compressors; but also constant-

torque applications such as extruders,

mixers or crushers can be addressed.

A new technical concept makes these

drive converter chassis units so unique.

A modular mechanical design, extremely

low loss IGBT semiconductors and an

innovative cooling system. All of these

features make SINAMICS G130 the quietest

100 % line supply voltage at the motor

— without any secondary effects

Up until now, voltage-source DC link

converters used two main techniques

to generate a variable output voltage.

Each of these techniques has its own

specific disadvantages: The so-called

space vector technique minimizes the

harmonic content in the motor current –

and therefore the supplementary losses in

the motor. However, only a maximum of

90% of the line supply voltage is available

at the motor terminals. As a consequence,

it is possible that the rated operating

point of the driven machine isn't reached

– especially for machines with square-

law load characteristics. The alternative

technique using block pulsing can achieve

an output voltage of up to 105% of the line

supply voltage – but with an extremely

high harmonic component in the motor.

The result: Considerable harmonic losses

in the motor and a significantly poorer

util ization when compared to direct

online operation. The SINAMICS G130

drive converter utilizes a technique that

is absolutely unique in the marketplace. A

technique that combines the advantages

of the two techniques mentioned above.

The so-called edge modulation with

optimized pulse patterns means that the

line supply voltage is available at the

motor terminals at 100% load – and more

specifi cally, without any secondary effects

such as extremely high harmonics and

supplementary losses in the motor. The

converter losses are also lower.

the SINAMICS SM150.

SINAMICS SM150 is a high-end drive converter for low and high

speed applications. This is the reason that it is recommended for

applications requiring a high dynamic performance and regenerative

feedback into the line supply - generally with special motors from

approx. 4~26 MW.

The water-cooled SINAMICS SM150 drive converters, capable

of regenerative feedback into the line supply, are available as

either single-motor or multi-motor drive with well-proven IGCT

power semiconductors for medium-voltage drive applications.

The modular design concept are applied in 1LE1/1LA7/1LA9/1LG4/1LG6 series low voltage AC motors. Like ship motors, crane motors are often

exposed to extreme weather conditions –

as well as being subject to high operational

high humidity, salty air and high wind

Roller table motors: Powerful drive, extra

rugged

Today, operational roller tables in reversing

ro l l ing mil ls are almost exc lusively

equipped with directly driven rollers. The

requirements placed upon the drive' s

mechanical design are extremely high. To

meet them, we developed our three-phase

roller table motors for inverter operation.

They are designed as totally enclosed

three-phase induction motors – with a

housing made of spheroidal graphite iron,

ring ribs and reinforced bearing shields.

Application areas

The rugged, non-ventilated roller table

motors are especially suitable for operation

in tough environments such as rolling mills

under extreme application conditions, in

operational and transport roller tables,

at high ambient temperatures, high air

The increasing significance of power

markets led to the ongoing development

of the H-compact series, which has proven

itself over the years. H-compact motors

are used in the widest range of industrial

sectors, such as oil & gas, chemical, paper

The wide range of types provides a broad

and finely graduated range of outputs.

The motors are available for rated voltages

• Starting converter, including DC link reactors, are factory

mounted in cubicles, completely wired including all internal

connection cables and is pre-checked. Thus, start-up time and

costs at the customer are signifi cantly reduced.

• Line stressing during starting remains low. The starting converter

does not infl uence the short-circuit rating of the station service

（auxiliaries etc.）.

• The starting equipment can be integrated into the open-

loop control and message system of the plant process control

system.

• SIMADYN D digital technology, a well-proven system for fast

open- and closed-loop control and computation in drive and

power technology, is used for all of the control tasks including

monitoring functions and gating sets.

- Simple configuring and documentation using the STRUC G

graphic confi guring language

- Corrections and modifications can be simply made using

software adaptation

- Self test routines.

• The starting converter power semiconductors are indirectly

gated using fi bre-optics.

• Rotor position and speed sensing are electronically sensed using

the motor stator voltage instead of mechanical encoders.

clocking. The fi ring angle is close to the inverter stability limit

during the complete run-up sequence, so that the converter
