Prologue
Regulation for the use of the resources of LAPSO
General Principles
1.1. - Who can make use of the resources of the laboratory?
- Priority users are the teachers, students of the 1st, 2nd and 3rd Cycles
in Psychology of DEPSO and the researchers associated to the CIS or linked
to a bilateral collaboration protocol.
1.2. - Justification for requesting laboratory resources?
- The resources of the laboratory should be requested exclusively for
pedagogical activities and research in the different areas of Psychology.
2.1. – Test Library
2.1.1. - The materials available in the Test Library are intended to
support pedagogical activities and academic work, theses and student
internships and research activities associated with DEPSO and CIS.
2.1.2. - The resources of the Test Library may be requested by DEPSO
students, as part of their curricular, research or internship work; by DEPSO
professors, as part of their teaching and research activities; and by CIS
researchers or linked to the laboratory by a collaboration protocol.
2.1.3. - In the act of requisition and return, the materials must be
verified by the requester and the Technician of the laboratory that makes the
loan.
2.1.4. - The requisitions are made for periods of 3 working days.
2.1.5. - It may be necessary to make a prior reservation of the materials
used with greater constancy.
2.1.6. - The applicant must know the code of ethics governing the
proper use of psychological evaluation techniques and instruments, and
respect the level of training, experience and specific training required
for its application.

2.1.7. - It is an exception to the specific competence rule, the use of
psychological assessment materials by students, with appropriate supervision,
with training objectives and academic training.
3.1. - Video Library & Multimedia
3.1.1. - The loan can be made in person for all videos (VHS and
DVD), and can also be done at home (3 working days).
3.1.2. - Teachers can benefit from an exception regime regarding the
consultation / request period of the videos, provided that they are intended for
pedagogical activities.
3.1.3. - Multimedia equipment (e.g. camcorders, tripods, TV / LCD)
may be required for on-site use, however, some of the equipment may benefit
from an exemption scheme, and the possibility of home loan for a term
stipulated in the act of request.
4.1. - Laboratory Support Equipment and Software
4.1.1. - The loan can be made in person for all IT equipment, and may
also be done at home (3 business days or deadline stipulated upon request), in
the specific case of laptops and software licenses.
4.1.2. - Some of the equipment may benefit from an exception regime
for use outside the context of the laboratory and term of use, provided that
such request is made in advance and accompanied by a reasoning that will
have to be validated by the Laboratory Directorate.

5.1. - Users must comply with the instructions and observations made
by the Technical Manager of the laboratory:
5.1.1 - Users should guide their stay on the premises of the laboratory
in accordance with the standards of respect for other users.
5.1.2. - In cases of manifest disrespect, by such norms, the Technical
Officer by the laboratory is authorized to intervene in the manner that he
deems most appropriate to the situation.
5.1.3. - Users are directly responsible for the equipment and / or
accessories they request (e.g. computer equipment, psychological tests,
laboratory equipment, installations) and can be held responsible for misuse or
damage.
5.2. - Return of requested resources:
5.2.1. - The resources must be returned to the laboratory within the
deadline established in the requisition.
5.2.2. - Failure to comply with this rule may have consequences for the
user regarding the possibility of using this type of service.
5.2.3. - The resources must be returned in the same preservation state
in which they were requested.
5.2.4. - If the return is not made in due conditions due to deterioration,
loss or other cause imputable to the requester, the requester will be
responsible to proceed to the replacement of an equivalent resource to the
requested one.
5.2.5. - In case of impossibility of replacement, the requester will
reimburse the laboratory for the value at the date of the appeal in question.
