IntroductionLantek Expert Punch is a CAD/CAM solution
specically designed to automate the programmingof punching machines. It is the result of more than
25 years of experience and close collaboration
with manufacturers and users of these types of
machines. This makes it possible to create a solutionfully adapted to the technology of various machines
and programming and management needs of each
company.
General features Easy to use
Lantek Expert Punch is a solution based on Windowstechnology, which allows any user of Microsoft Ofce
solutions to quickly become familiar with the program.
It is designed so that the different phases proposedby the software can be followed interactively and in
an intuitive and simple way. It has online support that
includes detailed explanations of all possible options
as well as a tutorial with practical examples.
Throughout the design process and machining,
the system offers Undo/Redo options, in this wayfacilitating the work of the programmer.
Working in a team Floating licences option
The system can work autonomously or installed on
the network. Thanks to the oating license, all userson the network can access it. The only limitation is
the number of simultaneous accesses based on the
number of licenses purchased.
Product management Processes
Lantek Expert Punch is fully integrated with LantekManager and the Lantek Integra management
solution developed by Lantek. This union allowsthe integration of all the companys processes in
a single database (Articles, Purchasing, Budgets,
Orders, Production Monitoring, Delivery Notes and
Invoices, Warehouse Management, etc.).
Also, Lantek Expert Punch makes it possible toconnect to any external ERP via XML les.

Open database
Lantek Expert Punch stores all information generatedin the Microsoft, MSDE, or SQL Server database, for
companies with more advanced requirements. Thisdatabase is open and allows users to nd pieces,
manufacturing orders, plates, etc. by criteria such
as material, thickness, client, date, etc. You can also
create links with spreadsheets (Excel, ...), databases
(Access, ...) or other applications.
Calculation of times and costs
Lantek Expert Punch controls all machinetechnologies offering total control of time and costs,
both per piece and per plate. Thanks to this data,
users can create their own budgets, check workloads
on different machines and get extra help in decision-
making.
Management of pieces and storage of plates
All pieces are stored in databases, where the user
can easily locate any piece or plate by the criteria of
material, thickness, date, customer, size, etc. There
is also a full control of the remnants generated by the
system, so that they can be used in later works.
Parametric pieces
The software has an extensive library of parametric
pieces, in which the resulting geometry is obtained by
indicating the values of the variables.
Management of piece groups (Kit)
This option allows you to group pieces within a kit, to

Machining macros
The user can easily customise the machining of
specic geometries so that the system detects the
geometry and automatically applies the punchingthe user has dened. This option is a powerful tool
for customers with their own products, capable of
automating all their machining processes.
Additionally, the system has a number of predenedmacro-instructions to facilitate the semi-automatic
machining of different types of contours.
Machining with standard turrets
The user can create different standards of turret so
that the punching is limited to the use of punches
placed in the turret, in this way reducing changes inmachine punching.
Common punching of regular and irregularpieces
Lantek Expert Punch automatically nests regularand irregular pieces so it can machine using commonpunching. At the same time, it utilises holes in pieces

each marked-off shape. This view varies according to
