Language Installation, Supplementation and Updation

Pre-requisites:

1) Access to T-codes RZ10, SMLT, SE38 ( Role:: SAP_BC_TRANSPORT_ADMINISTRATOR )2) Language Installation CD/DVD ( Varies as per the release /version of SAP system)

CD/DVDs mounted at path /cds and listing of CD/DVD at file path /cds/cd_liste3) All Required PAT/CAR files at path /usr/sap/trans/EPS/in for importing correction parts of language

Installing new language

Run Report RSCPINST through SE38 ( in client 000)

RSCPINST is a setup and diagnostic tool for configuring languages in SAP systems. The report automatically determines the settings required for a consistent i18n configuration, based on the set of languages selected.

Add language key (e.g. PT for Portugal)

Set parameter zcsa/installed_languages in instance profile(RZ10) according to the value of above output screen . Append key for Language ( e.g. add ‘P’ for Portuguese).

Transaction SMLT to classify language. Click

Import the language in client 000 .Transaction SMLT. Choose Import Package

Eg .

Enter path as /cds/sap0183/LANG2/PT (Path varies with the kind of package required)

Importing Correction parts from Support Packs

Run report RSTLAN_IMPORT_OCS

Transaction SMLT

Choose Language > Special Action > Import Support Packages

Choose YES

Click to go to next screen

Enter path for CAR/SAR files, if required. Otherwise choose to go to next screen

Post language import running (Estimated time of completion 2-3 hours approx.)

Language Updated

Language Supplementation in 000 client

Supplement the language in 000 client. Choose against the language

Check SM37 for completion for Language Supplementation Job

Copy Language data from 000 to 100 ( and all other clients also)

Goto SE38. Run program RSTLAN_SUPPLEMENT_UNI to copy text from Client 000.

Choose your Target Language and choose option . Click Execute.

Supplement the language in client 100( and other clients)

Supplement the language in all clients. Choose against the language

Transaction SMLT to supplement language. Choose the checkboxes as in below screenshot

After executing all the steps, perform a RESTART of the System
