Nonfiction is about real people, places, and events.

Nonfiction is real. For example:

autobiographies, essay, informative articles, and interviews.

WHAT IS BIOGRAPHY?

Biography is a story of a person’s life as told by someone else.

It contain character, setting, and plot.

For example: If you research Thomas Jefferson and write about his life, that is a biography of Thomas Jefferson.

WHAT IS AUTOBIOGRAPHY?

Autobiography is a story of a person’s life as told by that person.

It is the first person point of view.

For example, a blog because they write about themselves.

WHAT IS AN ESSAY?

Essay is a short piece of writing on one subject.

5 paragraphs is an essay.

There are different essays like expository (formal), personal, and persuasive.

WHAT IS INFORMATIVE ARTICLE?

Informative articles provide facts about a specific subject.

New stories give out objective or unbiased account of current event.

Feature stories appear in magazine and newspapers.

WHAT IS AN INTERVIEW?

Interview is conversation which a person asks questions and the guest speak their answers.

The person asking get lots or little information.

Oprah show is an example like an interview.
