Underwater World is one of the largest marine and freshwa-ter aquaria in Asia. Highlights include gigantic 15-meter long walk-through tunnel housing 500,000 litres of seawater and many big fishes and sea creatures such as sharks, stingrays, huge turtles. There is a spectacular “penguinarium” with an underwater tunnel for visitors to view swimming penguins. Oth-er attractions include the Freshwater Fish Section, the Seashell Display, the Koi Pond, the Reptilian Section and the Coral Reef Section.

The Langkawi Crocodile Farm is located at Teluk Datai, ap-proximately 30 km away from Kuah Town. Spread over 20 acres of land, the farm houses more than 1,000 crocodiles and alligators. Different species of crocodiles are being kept in specific ponds, where visitors can have a thorough look at the crocodiles or catch the scheduled daily shows and hourly feeding.



EVERGREEN MANGROVE AND CAVE

You will be in for a unique experience as you set out in the morning to be the Indiana Jones of the East. The mangrove adventure, cave exploring, eagle watching and a delicious lunch will most definitely appease all your senses. This is an ad-venturous tour requiring climbing of steep stairs and uneven paths, so a pair of good walking shoes is recommended. Tow-els will come in handy. If you have a torch light bring it along. A pair of binoculars will prove rewarding.

Take a walk on the platforms and see the variety of fish that are separated by net cages. Get a close-up shot of the many eagles as they zoom down with accuracy to their feed. See the vampire bats having their siesta as hundreds of them cling upside down from the ceiling of the cave formed millions of years ago. For nature lovers, the formation of stalagmite and stalactite including the rock formation would serve as an inter-esting subject.

Payar Island has been gazetted as a Marine Park to protect this won-derful creation. Please note that the Marine Park excursion is subject to sea and wind conditions.

The approximate 40 minutes tour will take guests through sce-nic route along Burau Bay, Pantai Kok and Telaga Harbour Park. The boat will then go to the Andaman Sea and guests will be able to enjoy the full view of Machincang Mountain where the famous Langkawi Cable Car is located, the beau-tiful coastline of Burau Bay and get a feel of the lifestyle of the rich and famous when you’re taken for a ride along Telaga Harbour Marina.

The duration in water is about 15 minutes. The vehicle does not move fast, it’s safe and great for families & children. After your tour, you may take the opportunity to explore other attrac-tions at Oriental Village (entrance fee not included).

• Cable Car Ride - hovering over jungle and climbing over 550 million years old rock, the 15 minutes cable car ride takes you up 708m above sea level to Langkawi’s second highest peak of Mt. Machinchang, where the view of the surrounding islands is simply breathtaking.

• Sky Bridge - from the top station of the cable car, you can access the curved pedestrian bridge built atop Mt. Machin-chang. The suspended bridge swings out over the landscape to give visitors a unique spatial experience, being above virgin jungle with spectacular views.

• 3D Art Museum - A new art museum known as ‘Art in Para-dise’ has come up at Oriental Village. It has more than 100 amazing three dimensional artwork. It’s the largest in Malaysia.
