OTHER FACTORS TO BE AWARE OF IF YOU OR A REFERRAL WANTS SUPPORT:

• Funding for working capital and capital• Support will be given to projects that create jobs (mostly)• Grant is taxable• Need to demonstrate the need for grant• De Minimis (€200K over a rolling three period)• Cannot start the project until grant is awarded• Bureaucratic process

Key Factors

KEY THINGS TO LOOK FOR IN A SUITABLE REFERRAL:

• Businesses that are growing/changing• If pre start can generate over £80k in year 1• Need help 3 to 6 months in advance• What business sector are they in (some better than others)• Haven’t started “their” project yet, if they want capital grant• What job creation will there be?• Is the business idea credible?• If in doubt speak with us to clarify
