Landscape Painting in Portugal a David Dunlop masterclass
September 6-12, 2020 Join nationally renowned painter and art instructor David Dunlop for a fun week of plein air painting and travel photography in the beautiful region of Azeitão, Portugal. On this all-inclusive 5-day/6-night trip, David Dunlop and gallery owners Adam and Cindy Cave take a limited number of artists to a painter’s paradise where you will be exclusive guests at a 300 year-old villa just south of Lisbon. This fully renovated estate, surrounded by vineyards, cork trees, and olive orchards, offers a breathtaking array of subjects from the intimate to the monumental. Away from tourists, you will be able to immerse yourself in unique countryside and participate in daily painting demos/lectures, and one-on-one painting instruction with David. Mid-week, David will take the group on a scenic photography tour where you can build a portfolio of pictures for future paintings. In the evenings enjoy poolside drinks and appetizers, and gather to admire everyone’s daily painting. Dinners, either at the villa, or in the neighboring seaside resort, will feature the finest in Portuguese cuisine including multiple courses of locally sourced ingredients and regional wines. In addition, a private concert of authentic Portuguese Fado music has also been arranged for one special night at the villa. Portugal’s beautiful landscape and unique culture are not the only reasons why Adam and Cindy haven chosen this destination for the masterlcass. Adam fell in love with the country while living there from 1984-1989 and is looking forward to sharing his appreciation and personal insights with guests throughout the weeklong stay. Deposit: Non-refundable If cancellation is requested before March 31, 2020, all money, minus deposit, will be returned. If cancellation is requested after March 31, 2020, no refund will be issued. The only exception to this is when the workshop is full and your spot gets re-filled by a person on the waitlist. In this case, all money, minus deposit, will be refunded. * We strongly recommend that you protect your travel investment by purchas ing travel insurance. Travel insurance is a cost-effective way to protect you by refunding monies paid if you need to cancel your trip for any reason including an emergency or interruption, or to cover travel costs if the workshop is cancelled.
