BACKGROUND / BUSINESS OVERVIEWRoots and Culture Landscape Design cc. was established in 2004 as a small business specializing in landscape design, indigenous landscaping and rehabilitation.
The naming of the venture ‘Roots and Culture’ derived from the significance of the words being:
Roots - the life force of all plants, being firmly anchored and nurtured to form a strong foundation will ensure a long and prosperous life.
signifying the influences of various cultures Culture -which lead to specific design principles. Taking into account the different types gardens throughout the history of mankind. Dating back to the first gardens of Persia, the Zen gardens of Japan, English Cottage gardens of Britain to the modern day garden concepts through out the world out the world today are to name a few.These cultural influences on garden design in the different countries shape and act as guidelines to creating individual masterpieces.
