needs of those in our ‘body’ who are hurting or just need some help. You can be involved by making calls, cleaning, cooking, or giving. You could even volunteer to visit or help with a home project. To learn more about this ministry, we will have a kick-off meeting at THE HYLTONS on MAY 15TH, right after the morning services. Hamburgers and hot dogs will be provided. If you have received Jesus Christ as your Savior, then you have the biblical responsibility to be baptized by immersion as a symbolic expression of your identification with the Lord in His death, burial and resurrection. Bibliology – Bruce Mills – Room W-10 (Class will begin June 8th) One of the primary missions of the Elders of Lakeside is to equip the church with an in-depth understanding of the vital doctrines of the Christian faith. One avenue to accomplish this goal is through a series of deep, yet relevant and accessible, classes in systematic theology. This summer the 2nd of these classes will be taught on one of the foundational doctrines of the Christian faith—the doctrine of the Bible. Since the Bible is the source of all truth regarding our faith, it is important that believers know what they believe about the Bible and why they believe it. We will study the inspiration, inerrancy, infallibility, and sufficiency of Scripture, the historical development of our Bible, and issues involving various translations. There will not be a required text for the class, but reading assignments will be given from various sources; i.e., handouts, internet, etc. This class is geared for everyone who desires to grow in their knowledge of the truth.
