4K-6th Student of the Week:Adrian Smith, parents are Alex and Amber Smith. Adrian earns this honor for hiseagerness to learn and participate in class. He is always paying attention, asking questions, andgiving answers. It makes it clear that Adrian wants to do his best and make the most of his 3rdgrade year. On top of his classroom attitude, Adrian is a nice kid. His classmates and I enjoyhaving him in class. Congratulations on being student of the week!

The Spring Battle of the BooksKahoot went great. We had 9
teams, 7 classes, and 27students with each team
(hopefully) reading the 11books for this spring contest.

teacher said, “Elijiah is a respectful young manwho pushes himself outside of his comfort zonein order to get the job done. He communicateswell and is a steady presence in class. Way to go,Elijiah!” Ms. Schunk had a similar comment,“Elijiah is a respectful young man who workshard to keep an open communication with histeachers.” Having this level of maturity isencouraging coming into his freshman year!Mrs. Kevan remarked, “Elijiah is very polite andhas grown as a student in math this year.” Hisscience teacher said, “I appreciate how Elijiahcompliments others. He is loyal, and has a heartfor others.” Way to show the Laker Spirit,Elijiah!

Mrs.Carlson shared, “Chad Harrington is a studentthat will push himself to achieve high academicgoals. Some of his strongest character traits arebeing a kind, caring, honest gentleman. He is
the kind of person that is sought after by employers. I'm so glad Ihave had the honor of being a part of his educationaladventure.”Mrs. Kunselman agrees, “It's always a pleasure to have aconversation with Chad. He's a genuinely kind and respectfulperson, with a quiet determination and consistency that isdemonstrated through his hard work.” “Chad is so very pleasantand sincere. He always has a smile on his face and is nice toeveryone!” said Ms. Everson. Chad is a leader in the SL FFA, theAdvisor Mrs. Bos said, “ Chad is easy going, has a good attitude, isrespectful and a great role model.” Mrs. Klein appreciates that Chadis often others centered, “I have seen Chad befriend and offeracademic and social support to students who get overlooked by theirpeers. Chad notices and he makes intentional efforts to be inclusiveand kind. This character trait is one of maturity and such value in allaspects of life. “ Way to show the Laker Spirit, Chad!!
