Flexible spending saves money on your taxesThis year your flexible spending has increased from $2,700 to $2,750 for health care. The Health FSA carryover limit increases from $500 to $550. Flexible spending accounts (FSA) help employees to save taxes on money spent for healthcare expenses. An FSA allows you to save up to 30 percent on your eligible healthcare expenses every year by using pre-tax dollars. The money put into an FSA is tax-free, but must be used on approved healthcare-related costs.
Medical PremiumsHealth Risk Assessments will not be performed this year. Good news, all employees who enroll in the County’s Florida Blue medical plan will be eligible for the discounted medical premium rate without the completion of a Health Risk Assessment.
