2008-09

Social Activities:

Health Camp:

This year the M/s Ladis Sozni Emb. Workers I.C.Ltd.

Ganaie Pora Kawoosa Tehsil: Beerwa Distt: Budgam J&K Stateorganized health awareness camp at Kawoosa Khalisa . Last year this area was

badly affected by diarrhea. People of these areas were generally using dirty

drinking water. The Volunteers of the society made the people aware about

the importance of using clean drinking water and warned them against the useof the contaminated water which causes variety of Health Hazards. The

Society also utilized the services of some Doctor’s to treat the patients who

had fallen ill by consuming dirty water.

The society also employed some artisans engaged in Handicrafts to

participate in Design & Technical Development Workshops sanctioned by

Govt of India. These And Other Handicraft Artisans were paid Wage

compensation for the same.

AIDS Awareness Programme:

The organization conducted AIDS Awareness Programme in Block

Narbal with the help of some concerned Doctor’s, Consultants and Para-

Medical Staff. A large number of people participated in the Programme.

Some of Artisans of this Society also participated in different marketingexhibitions, Gandhishilp Bazars & Delhi Haat etc. to market their goods.

These programmes also made them aware about the latest market trends

and range of production, need for diversification of their production and

other techniques and technologies to be adopted to stream line this

handicraft sector



Annual Report 2009-2010.

The organization undertook a cleanliness drive in Block Beerwa and

Narbal. During this drive a large number of people participated.

These people not only cleaned different lanes, Schools and other

Public places, but also created cleanliness awareness among the people in general. As a special drive, the women folk were made

aware about the use of clean water, cleaning of House-hold Utensils

and clothes. People were also made aware about the Health Hazards

created by disposing excretes and waste materials in the open which

makes Micro-Organisms to grow & multiple causing different types

of diseases including epidemics.

The artisans associated with the organization were also

facilitated for participation in different marketing programmes.

They were also given awareness about Micro credit facility

Schemes under credit Guarantee scheme being sponsored by

Govt. of India under supervision of micro small industry trust

Mumbai. They were also made aware about Janshree Bima

Yojna & Raju Gandhi Shilpi Swasthya Bima Yojna. For covering

these artisans under these schemes the assistance of ICICILombard general insurance company, Life Insurance Corporation

Of India & Office of The Development Handicraft was also

sought for which the society thanks them all. The society also

guided the people to take up handicrafts at least as a part time

occupation to supplement their earnings which they accepted

gladly.



Annual Report 2010-2011

Having done a spade work in District Budgam a special

Programme of conducting a preliminary base line survey in a number

of villages of Tehsil Beerwa to identify different type of crafts

prevailing in these villages so that steps could be taken to promote

and uplift these crafts and to make these Artisans self-sustainable.

The Deputy Commissioner Budgam on realizing the importance of

this survey was kind enough to spare services of two Volunteers

from his office to accompany our team. Our team identified 2200

Artisans in this Block who are wholly or partly engaged in the field

of handicrafts. As reported by them Silk Sozni Emb. Could be the

most potential and profitable craft for these artisans. The artisans of

other crafts in the area are negligible.

As a welfare measure and under the purview of Janshree Bima

Yojna Scheme 1223 Artisans were also covered under this Novel

Scheme. The society also submitted all the ID applications forms of all

the identified artisans of this area to office of DevelopmentCommissioner Handicrafts for issuance of Digital I Cards to establish

identity of these Artisans and to enable them to take benefit of different

schemes of the central as well as the State governments and NABARD

etc. three hundred seventy artisans were also covered under RGSSBY

Scheme



ANNAUL ACTIVITY REPORT FOR 2011-2012

During the year 2011 – 2012, the activities of the societyremained as under:-

1. Distributed 1009 identity cards among the artisans which werereceived from the concerned o/o DC(H). this was in addition to3482 artisans who were facilitated for registration by thesociety.

2. The society also submitted 1663 Digital I D Forms to O/o DC(H)Sgr. For registration. The society facilitated registration of 395additional artisans under RGGSBY and JBY.

3. The society provided help and guidance to a large No. of artisans in preferring their reimbursement claims to ICICI

Lomboard.

4. The organization conducted one D&TDW which was sanctionedin favour of the organization.

5. The society helped the artisans for the participation in differentmarketing events including Dilli Haat from time to time.

6. The society provided three consultation of experts with artisanheads for diversification of their production.

ANNUAL REPORT 2012-13

1. Training Program In Block Making:-

Under HRD scheme of O/o the DC(H), one training program fortraining in innovative design in Block Making was sanctioned videsanction no. 1-15011/9/NR/HRD/2011-12 dated:- 16/21 12-11. Theprogram was conducted W.E.F 27-09-12 to 27-12-12 under thesupervision of deign expert Pankaj Arora, in this training program 10artisans received innovative training Block making to be used in SozniEmbb. Craft.

2. Integrated Design and Technical Development Project :-

Vide sanction J-12012/235/2012-13/DS(NR)/2542, Dated:- 12/21-11-12. One IDTDP has been sanctioned for benefit of 50 artisans whichis the process of Implementation



3. Under AHVY scheme, the O/o DC(H) has sanctioned. One Clusterdevelopment project in our favor vide sanction No. J-12012/264/ 2012-13-DS(NR)/2522, Dated:- 20-11-12. Which is the process of implementation & shall be completed in 2013- 14
