welcome

WELCOME

It is with great pleasure that we invite you to register for the fourth annual Lab InfoTech Summit, athree-day conference focusing on information technology for pathology and the clinical laboratorythat will take place in Las Vegas on March 5-7, 2007.

We have made a number of significant changes from last year’s conference. A second workshop hasbeen added and the size of the exhibitor display area has been enlarged because of increaseddemand for space.

Lab InfoTech Summit is sponsored by the Pathology Education Consortium (PEC), a non-profitcompany specializing in pathology educational activities. We also want to give special credit to twoof the conference co-sponsors. The first is the Association for Pathology Informatics (API), the onlyprofessional society devoted exclusively to the field of pathology informatics. The second is theCenter for Pathology Informatics, University of Pittsburgh, that sponsors a companion meeting to LabInfoTech Summit called APIII that will take place on September 9-12, 2007, in Pittsburgh.

The goal of the Lab InfoTech Summit is to provide registrants with the latest information about howinformation technology can increase the efficiency, productivity, and quality of every clinicallaboratory. We feel confident that you will find our faculty, topics, and broad range of exhibitors ofgreat interest. We promise to provide you with a stimulating and engaging learning environment. Anddon’t forget to sample some of the Las Vegas attractions described in this brochure.

For a daily blog commentary about lab software and the clinical lab industry, point your browser toLab Soft News (www.labsoftnews.com).
