Leave it as you found it unless directed otherwise.

Follow disposal directions for each lab. No solids in drain Dispose of liquids down the drain ONLY

when instructed to do so.

Getting Too Much of a Chemical

Washing Hands

Even if not using hazardous substances, you do not know what chemicals may have been left on lab table previously

Wash hands at end of EVERY lab. Soap is at each lab station

Feeling Dizzy/Light Headed

Stay where you are Send someone to report to Mr.

Wearing Eye Protection

Wear safety glasses from beginning to the end of every lab.

Hot Glass/Iron Rings

Make sure to wait until glass or iron ring is cool before touching.

Use the back of your hand and hold close to the object. If you feel warmth, it is too hot to touch.

Hot glass looks exactly like cool glass.

Mixing Acid and Water

Do what you oughta, put the acid in the water.

This means water must be put into the container first, then the acid.
