Both filter bags had areas of hardened agglomerated dust throughout the entire length of the bag on the exterior
side. The interior side of both bags was relatively free of dust with rust marks on the cage wire impressions and
loose rust. All issues indicate excess moisture was present in the process.

Visual Impression / Physical Damage
Filter Bag Results
There was no physical damage present on this filter bag. However, there were areas of hardened
agglomerated dust throughout the length of the bag on the exterior side and rust marks on the cage wire
impressions and loose rust on the interior side.
Area Weight, Air Permeability
There was an 8% increase in weight of the top section after air pulse cleaning verses original specification
(17.7 oz/yd2).
The permeability of the top section after air pulse cleaning was 12.55 cfm, representing a 16% loss in
permeability verses original specification (15 cfm).
Strength Analysis
The Mullen Burst strength of the top section was 800 psi, representing no loss in strength versus original
specification (600 psi).
