A Reflection of Science. Some Traces of the Epistemology of Administrative Sciences
Conceiving epistemology as the study of the constitution of knowledge. ils object is atype of human activity and its consequences. Therefore it involves the doublehermeneutic that is inherent to any human or social study. Hence it is no surprise ifepistemology leaves traces on ils objects of study. In this article, we are interested bythose traces and we shall concentrate on one case, the epistemology of administrativesciences. First, we shall describe in broad outline the main forms of work in the fieldof epistemology today and the key moments of the structuration of the field ofadministrative sciences. Second, the emergence and the development of theepistemology of administrative sciences will be characterized by four sedimentarylayers of forms of work. Then, we shall examine more closely each laver in order todisplay the distinctive features of these forms of work and their conséquences on théstructuration of thé field of administrative sciences.
