• I. ¿Qué significa la palabra “muerte”? A. “Separación”. Tiene varios usos

pero su significado básico es “separación”. Luc. 15:32.

• I. What is the meaning of “death”? A. “Separation.” It has various uses but its basic meaning is “separation.” Lk. 15:32.


• B. Muerte física: separación del alma del cuerpo. Gén. 35:18 “cuando su alma partía, pues murió…” El alma es el “hombre interior” que no muere (2 Cor. 4:16).

• B. Physical death: separation of the soul from the body. Gen. 35:18, “as her soul was departing (for she died)…” The soul is the “inner man” that does not die (2 Cor. 4:16).


• Los materialistas (adventistas, testigos) niegan esto. Dicen que el “alma” es la vida misma y que el “espíritu” es el aliento y, por eso, que al morir el hombre deja de existir.

• B. Tres días después Jesús dijo a María Magdalena, “Suéltame porque todavía no he subido al Padre” (Juan 20:17). Por eso, el paraíso de Luc. 23:43 no es el cielo.

• III. ¿Dónde va el hombre infiel cuando muere? A. Luc. 16:23, el rico fue al hades cuando murió, “En el Hades, estando en tormentos…”

• Por eso, hades tiene dos partes o secciones, lugar de reposo para los fieles (como Lázaro) y lugar de tormento para los infieles.

• Therefore, hades has two parts or sections, a place of rest for the faithful (like Lazarus) and a place of torment for the unfaithful.


• Dicen algunos que es parábola pero no hay nombre propio como Lázaro en parábolas. Pero aunque fuera, parábolas no son fábulas; se basan en la realidad.

• B. Algunos concluyen de esto que durante el tiempo que Cristo estaba en el hades (paraíso) El predicó a los que vivieron en los días de Noé pero ¿es lo que Pedro dice?

• B. Some conclude from this that during the time Christ was in hades (paradise) He preached to those who lived in the days of Noah, but is that what Peter says?

• C. ¿Cómo es posible que el cuerpo se queme sin consumirse? Porque no es este cuerpo de carne y hueso, sino el cuerpo resucitado que será inmortal, indestructible.

• VI. ¿Existe el “purgatorio”? A. Lugar de fuego donde van los que “mueren en gracia” pero necesitan purificarse (expiar sus pecados) para alcanzar la gloria.

• VI. Does “purgatory” exist? A. The place of fire where those who “die in grace” go who need to purify (expiate) themselves in order to reach the state of glory.
