Falling, the autumn leaflets, Yellow and withered and sere ;
While autumn winds are singing The dirge ot the waning year._
falling, the solemn leaflets,Out of my Book of Life—
The days of spring aud summer, With pleasure once so rife.
Falling, from life.'s tree, the leaflets, Many and many a friend j
Fallen, and leave me waiting To meet, liks them, my end.
Fallen—friendB, life, pleasure !It were an awful thing
Where the leaf fall uot an earnest Of an other blighter spring.
Where all shall be recreated By the touch of a magio hand,
And share, in glad re-uriion,Life in th e summer land.
