The Department of Electronics Engineering conducts B.Tech (Electronics), M. Tech (Electronics - VLSI) and PhD programmes. B.Tech program is accredited by NBA in its all three cycles. In association with Eduvance and GAATsis, a “Centre of Excellence in Embedded System” has been established in the institute with Educational kits like ARM development boards from ARM University Program and PSoC kits by Cypress Semiconductors. The department has well equipped Laboratories in Embedded system, VLSI design & Digital signal processing. Speech & Sound processing laboratory is specialized facility provided in the department for sound recording, editing and mixing.

Department of Electronics Engineering of this institute takes immense pride in th th

organizing STTP sponsored by AICTE on “Computer Networking” from, 20 - 25 April 2020. As per norms of AICTE Program Evaluation Committee is constituted at institution level. Lectures will be delivered by eminent faculty from I-MEDITA, Pune (registered by Ministry of Corporate affairs & Cisco registered partner). Experts will conduct hands on practice sessions. This six days program is designed to provide insight and interaction along with the know how to build and stabilize network through effective hands-on practice. The main aim of the STTP is to broaden their understanding the importance of networking & learn techniques to plan & better prepare for networking opportunities.

Course Contents

Ÿ Introduction to Computer Networking, hardware devices, topologies, types of networks, types of media, TCP/IP Model, OSI Architecture.

Ÿ Hands on deploying various protocols and troubleshooting networks.Ÿ IP address and Subnetting, Installing Network Simulation Software, Router IOS.Ÿ IP Routing + Static routing configuration, Static Routing Configuration, Routing

Information Protocol- Default, V1, V2, EIGRP.Ÿ Redistribution and Switching, Network Security.

The STTP is open to faculty members of AICTE approved Engineering Colleges and Industry Professionals. There is no registration fees for the participants. Travel allowance (TA) will be provided to the outstation participants(subject to avai labi l i ty of funds). Accommodation will be made available on payment basis. The number of participants are limited to 40 and the selection will be based on the first come first serve basis.

Ÿ Hands-on Networking: The learn-by-doing approach is absolutely essential in data communications and networking. Perform networking at the hardware, software, simulation, configuration levels.

Ÿ Experimental Method: Interconnecting hardware, configure network systems, measuring performance, observing protocols in action, and creating client server programs that communicate over a network all help sharpen one’s understanding and appreciation.

Ÿ Tools: How to correctly use variety of abstract tools (measurement, simulation, animation, experiment) for design and analysis of computer network systems. The specific tools/platforms useful for networking research and advanced development.
