Her golden tresses flowing in air
Her soft fingers curling them
She sits there pondering
The riverside hustling and

Class-XI
Words had me flattered.
From the rustling of leaves, And the falling of rain;
To the happiness we buy, And the tears of pain.
They all fade away, In a rush of words. You turn a deaf ear,
But they are waiting to be heard.
The pen of a poet, Or the plot of a story, All begin with words,
And end with their glory.
For some they are mere symbols, To let the deaf world hear.
But for me, since the beginning, They have always been dear.
And don’t you fear,
That the words could fool you. But maybe you should,
Because they are understood by a few.
Though I could never fear them, Even if I tried.
I know this because, They were here when I cried.
And a long list I can recite,
Of all the things they mean to me. But when you leave me alone,
The words would here forever be.
People say I have a way with words, But maybe they have a way with me.
And forever, endless they flow, Like the eternal sea.
