Four-Person Scramble Rules(US Golf Association Guidelines)
Four-person scramble is a team, best-ball format designed to ensure a fun, team atmosphere and ensure an enjoyable day for golfers at all skill levels. Awards will be given to the top 3 teams of both fl ights, and prizes will be awarded for ‘closest to the pin’, ‘longest drive’, and other individual games.
1) On each hole, each team member drives from the tee. The team selects the best drive.
2) All players drop a ball within a club length of the selected drive. All second shots are played from this position. Dropped balls may be no closer to the pin than, and must be within the same cut of grass, as the original drive.
3) Players repeat this process of selecting the best shot and playing from that position until the hole is completed. When putting, all putts must be from a single identical position.
4) If a selected shot is positioned within a hazard (sand, water, bushes) the team cannot drop a ball outside of the hazard or rough, even if relief is within one club length.
5) Men tee off from the white tees. Women tee off from the red tees.
6) In the case of a tie, the lowest score on hole 18 will determine the winner. If the score on hole 18 was tied, hole 17 will be used, and so on.
7) Mulligans - ($5/Player/Limit 1 per golfer) - Can be used anywhere on the course that a team chooses.
6) “Power Shots” - ($5 per shot / Limit 1 per golfer) - Men tee off from the red tees. Women get one throw with opposite arm and then tee off. The whole team does not have to use their power shot on the same hole.

About Kyle’s Scholarship
On August 10th 2003, Preston County lost one of its sons, when Kyle Hartman Metheny was tragically killed in a motorcycle accident. Kyle was a standout student athlete for Preston High School from 1994 to 1996. He was a member of the Preston High basketball and football teams, as well Honor Society student. In his senior year as quarterback, Kyle led the Knights to their fi rst ever WVIAC playoff berth. Upon his death, the Kyle Metheny Memorial Scholarship Fund was created to assist future Preston High student athletes. The scholarship is given annually to an outstanding Preston High student athlete, selected by the committee. In May of 2005, the committee voted to extend the scholarship to a 4 year award. Each recipient of the scholarship must meet & maintain certain criteria as set by the committee to receive the additional disbursements. Special thanks to the owners and staff of ProPT. Without you, Kyle’s scholarship would not have been possible.
Sponsorship Opportunities
The Kyle Metheny Memorial Scholarship Fund is primarily supported by The Kyle Metheny Memorial Golf Classic. Please consider sponsoring a hole at this year’s tournament. For a $100 donation, your name (or company name) will be featured on prominent signage at a tee box or greenside.

About the Course
Nestled at the foot of Cadell Mountain on Cheat River, famed for its world class rapids, Preston Country Club offers championship golf, fi ne dining, and tennis. At 7001 yards from the blue tees, PCC golf course is one of the longest in West Virginia. And, for a northern West Virginia course, it is fl at, although the tight, tree lined back nine more than compensates for the level fairways. At 1862 feet, golf here can be refreshing when courses at lower altitudes swelter in summer heat.
