Our Journey to Adopt

We have struggled to conceive for 4 years. In 2016, and after

various tests, there were border-line tumors found on one of

Alyssa's ovaries and surgery was recommended to remove it.

Later on, more tumors were found on Alyssa's remaining ovary

and on the outside of her uterus. In March 2019 Alyssa had a

full hysterectomy making the dream of having biological chil-

dren impossible. However, we are very thankful that all the

tumors were benign.

Views on Openness

In the beginning, as we are figuring out how to

be parents, we would love to send regular

pictures and letters. Our hope is to be able to

develop a great relationship with you.

We plan to be very open and honest with

your child by sharing their adoption story

We are adopting because we want to be

parents and we have SO much love to give

and we want to be able to share it with your

little one.

We met at a summer camp here in Missouri when we were 18. Then

we reconnected months later and started dating long distance. Kyle’s

father suggested he move closer to see "what Alyssa’s really like". We

got married a few years in Springfield, MO and have been happily

married for 7 years.

A Few of the things we love to do together are travel,

fish, and spend time with friends and family. Every year

we take a trip with our church to different states or

countries.

A little about Kyle...

Describing Kyle in only a few words is a hard

thing to do. He is very loving, trustworthy, and

comforting and would do anything

for me. I couldn't imagine my life

without him. He makes me want to

be a better person.

I can always count on Kyle to make

me laugh by dancing around the

kitchen, singing, or making up sto-

ries.

Seeing the way he is with our nephews makes

me very excited for our future children. He will

be a great father and our children will be very

loved.

A little about Alyssa...

Alyssa is a very loving person. Commitment

comes to mind as a strong quality trait she

possesses. This includes commitment to God, to

me, her family, and so much more.

Alyssa is appreciative of all we have and are able

to do. She is a natural nurturer and children love to

be around her. Our two nephews, ages 4 and 2, can't

enough of their Aunt "Sis". There is no doubt in my

mind that Alyssa will be a wonderful mother.

Our Home

We live at the end of a cul-de-sac on the outside of town. Our home

has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms on the first level with a full unfin-

ished basement. We have a big fenced in backyard with a large

garden where Kyle likes to spend time in the summer. There are

several parks with playgrounds, walking trails, ponds to fish, and

also an aquatic center just a few miles from our home.

We have one dog, her

name is Monroe. She

is a Craig's List spe-

cial and is 5 years old.

She is a dachshund/

Chihuahua/terrier

mix. Monroe is great

around our little neph-

ews even when they

are a little rough. She

is a very playful and

loving dog.

Our Community

Our neighbors and

community are very

friendly and supportive of

us.

We have a great church

family! Everyone is in-

credibly supportive and

encouraging. We

participate in many

activities with our

church. We like to get

together with our

church family for

BBQ's, potlucks, game

nights, bonfires, and

our annual picnic where

there is swimming,

food, and water games.

Alyssa’s parents moved to Utah 5

years ago. We try to see them at least

4 times a year. My sister Brittany and

her husband Brent live 5 miles from us

with their two boys, Waylon and Saw-

yer. We usually get together at least

one night a week for dinner and bbq's.

Most of Kyle’s family live in

Florida with the exception

of his mother and her hus-

band, who live in Georgia.

We enjoy spending

Thanksgivings in Florida

with my family near the

beach as much as we are

able.

We love our families very

much and they have been

SO supportive and

encouraging through our

journey from the beginning.

Alyssa volunteered at a teen summer camp

in Ghana, Africa. I was there for a little over

2 weeks and loved it!

Kyle works for Wells Fargo as an

inside sales representative.

Alyssa works as a dental assistant

3-4 days a week.

Alyssa enjoys baking cakes and other sweet treats.

Kyle loves to garden,

hunt, and fish.

We love to travel together and every

year we take a trip with our church to

different states or countries.
