ON THE TRAIL OF THE FRANKOPANSThe On the Trail of the Frankopans cultural route was inspired by the legacy of the famous Croatian noble family, the Frankopans, who left numerous testimonies of their influence and power in the Kvarner area from the beginning of the 12th century to the second half of the 17th.
The route encompasses 17 manors, fortified towns and castles, as well as three sacral complexes, which were all connected to the Frankopans in the course of history. Every building tells its own story of the life of the Frankopans and their love, passion, conspiracies, intrigue, faith and power.www.frankopani.eu
