• works in noodle shop but dreams of being a Kung Fu warrior

• He knows nothing about Kung Fu but he was chosen to be the Dragon Warrior

Master Shi Fu

• A Kung Fu master whose purpose in life is to find the Dragon warrior

• His mission: train the fat panda to be the dragon warrior

How much do you know about Kung Fu?

The term “Kung Fu” which is well-known as Chinese Martial arts. The foundation of Chinese martial arts has been attributed to the need for self-defense, hunting in ancient China. Hand-to-hand combat and weapons practice were important in training ancient Chinese soldiers.

According to legend, Chinese martial arts originated during the semi-mythical Xia Dynasty more than 4,000 years ago.

Question:• 1. There are many Kung Fu figures in the movies, which do you

like the most? (for example Yip-Man, Bruce Lee, or …) What is the reason you like?

• 1. Hollywood is the leading maker of action movies in the world. However, the main Hollywood studios don’t make kung fu movies. Why do you think that is?

• 2. In fact, Kung Fu Panda, is the first really large budget Kung Fu movie made by Hollywood, except for several Jackie Chan “half kung fu” type movies. Besides being a kind of animation, in what ways is Kung Fu Panda different from Asian “martial arts films”. Why do you think that is?
