KuJi Ka Lono Twelfth Annual Indigenous Education Conference MAY 19 - 20,2014 Monday and Tuesday 8:30 am - 4:30 pm Hawai'i Prince Hotel Waikiki Honolulu - I sland of O'ahu Native designed and controlled public charter schools will share their educational practices and accomplishments among themselves and with other Indigenous educators, parents and other interested stakeholders. By sharing strategies for success, such as ilEA-Education with Aloha", this conference hopes to help all native communities create quality culturally- driven schools and programs that empower native students to walk successfully in two worlds and assure that No Child Is Left Behind. Day one will have a student-led focus, with an evening of cultural performances. Day two will also involve the broader native education community, for example, with strands focused on: Best Practices, Culture Curriculum, Early Education, Humanities, Philanthropy, Policies and Advocacy.
