    KEEP IN MIND!

    Teachers are free to choose whichever genre to startteaching in Year 4 as long as all genres are coveredin a year.

    Teachers need to plan the allocation of time (weeks)to cover each text according to the needs and level oftheir pupils.

    If pupils are advanced and teachers have finishedteaching all the texts in the 3 genres, they areencouraged to use literary texts of their own duringthe Language Arts classes.

    Six levels of performance withdescriptors for each level based onclusters of learning standards.

    Teachers need to assess pupils whichcover all clusters of learning standards.

    The assessment can be done threetimes and to be reported in ExcelTemplates (offline).
