REPORT ON INDUSTRIAL VISIT

AIM of the Industrial Visit:

Industrial visit is considered as one of the tactical methods of teaching. The main reason

behind this- it lets the student know things practically through interaction, working methods, and

employment practices. Moreover, it gives exposure from an academic point of view.

The main aim of industrial visits is to provide exposure to students about the practical

working environment. They also provide students a good opportunity to gain full awareness of

industrial practices. Through industrial visits, students get awareness about new technologies.

Technology development is the main factor, in which students should have good knowledge.

Objectives of the visit: The students will be able to

1. Get the awareness of industry and their productions.

2. Understand different Applications of the cable connectors.

3. Know the assembling Process of Cable connectors.

4. Know the demand in the market for these products.

5. Understand the domains running in day to day market.

Outcomes of Industrial Visit

Students came to know about the industry and their cable assembling process.

Students gained the knowledge of applications of different types of cable connectors

which are used in Bounce Bikes, Elevators etc..

Students came to know about single port, double port and multiport connector cables

assembled and about testing of the connectors.

They came to know the Scope of these cable connectors in the market and how these are

necessary for large sale industries.

Many students came to know about the Entrepreneurial opportunities in this domain and

also got exposure of these cable connectors demand in the present market.

Industrial Visit

An Industrial visit to “M/S Divya Enterprises”, 53/2, between 5th & 6th Main, Kuvempu

Nagar, Doddakalasandra, Bengaluru-62 was organized by the Department of Electronics

and Communication Engineering as a part of MoU Activities and jointly with

EXCELTRON Forum, KSSEM on Thursday, 28th

November 2019.

More than 70 students and eight faculties visited M/S Divya Enterprises, to interact with

the company persons and also to understand current market scenarios, latest demanding

technologies & criteria for selection, etc.

All of us visited M/S Divya Enterprises at around 10 am. We divided our students into

two batches for the visit and the interaction with the industry person.

The Head of M/S Divya Enterprises, Mr. Balusubramanya gave a brief introduction about

the company and motivated the students to select their domain and area of interest.

The company supplies Harnessing Cables (Communication Cable, SSR Connecting

Cable, Flow meter Connecting Cable, SSR/RCBO/Heater Coil Connecting Cable etc.) to

many vendors. He also guided the students to select areas like optical fiber, electric

vehicles, GPS monitoring system technology adopted in BOUNCE and other vehicles.

The session was concluded with the Question- Answer session.

Many of the students asked different questions to the Technical Head on current

demanding technologies, market scenarios, etc. and he cleared all the doubt and myths

which was in students mind about the technologies and IT sector.

All students were satisfied after the session. The company has arranged a High Tea for

the students and faculties. The visit came to an end at 12:30 p.m. on the same day. It was an

informative, interesting and successful visit.

We express our thanks to the Technical Head and all team members of M/S Divya

Enterprises who spent their valuable time for us. We also thank our respected Director/Principal

and HOD who motivate us to arrange such an informative program. Lately, we request you to

arrange more industrial visit in the future for the students will be helpful for the students and

help to train our students.
