Getting started

1. Open an account on kr-webThis permits us to setup your database space and activate all the services you will need to use with your labels. We will ask you for some information on your brand owner and your brand such as contact addresses and URLs you would like to be seen by your customers.

3. Define your labelsSize, type of fabric, woven and printed artwork, type of codes and their positions. You will discuss such matters with our designers and we will quickly prepare a limited number of labels for your approval.

5. Stitch, or seal, the labels to the garments and allocate your information to each of themYour subcontractors may do this by using kr-stations or you may do this directly with your browser.

2. Define your dataYou must give a profile to your internal users, the credentials for the kr-stations, your lines/models, the URLs linked to them and the settings you want to give your system.

4. Give us time to produce your labelsIt will take us two or three weeks to produce them, two weeks more in the case we need to weave customized fabric.

7. Analyze your dataFilter your data by using the browser or download them and use your existing business intelligence tools.

6. Use your labelsFor tracking, quality control or consumer communication purposes.

Structure of Data:

Article -> the single object

• Static Information•Dynamic Information

Data linked to each label:

• Static Information: (directly connected to the article)

‐ Printed on the label and stored in kr-web:Serial Number / Label Code / Image

kr-stations (1)

• To be downloaded from https://krx.ch/downloads,• Simple installation, no assistance is required1,• Designed for the industry, simple to use,• A QR barcode reader may be required for some transactions.

Security:• Communication: SOAP encrypted in https/ssl format,• kr-station software, once installed, cannot be transferred onto another computer.therefore:• The User may be instantly identified by the brand,• No third party can enter into the Brand Database,• Wherever the User is located, the communication security is equivalent to banking security.

• Permitted transactions:INSERT / MODIFY / ERASE / READ

• Transactions and JobTypes are encrypted and stored on local computer:OFFLINE mode: no transmission to Brand Database during acquisition,ONLINE mode: all transactions are automatically transmitted to Brand Database.

• The content of every transaction and the UserID is recorded in the Brand Database (Monitor function).

1 Installation requires that, for every kr-station, the Brand must define in the “Stations” function: JobType, UserID and PWD.

Create the secure link to kr-web:

kr-stations (2)

kr-trackstation• Creates the link between LabelCode, JobType and an

Aggregation Code defined by the brand.• Used for tracking:

‐ Production, quality control and product packing,‐ Distribution of finished articles.

• Uses Aggregation logics based on Aggregations Codes supplied by the brand, i.e:

‐ Production Orders (Order Lines), ‐ Shipping Codes, ‐ …

kr-datastation• Inserts AuxData related to each read Label Code:

‐ RFID TID, ‐ Personalized Information (100 alphanumeric characters)

kr-EANstation• Allocates an EAN Code to each read Label Code.

Privacy Notes:kr-web is not able:

‐ to identify (other than a generic UserID) who inserted data into the database through a kr-station,

‐ to decode the meaning of any aggregation code. Brand is able:‐ to identify who inserted data through a kr-station,‐ to understand, and use such information.

Various kr-stations with different functionalities:

kr-web, the consumer interface

Label Codes:• Are read with a QR reader, typically a smartphone or a handheld,• The reading opens a secure communication channel,• All major commercial browsers are supported.

Information available to consumer:• Brand and Line name,• Serial Number,• AuxData,• Security photograph of the label.

Connection to the Brand:• Upon pressing the communication is redirected to the first

available of the following: Model URL / Line URL / Brand URL• Once such a connection is established kr-web is excluded from the communication.

Privacy Notes:• kr-web is not able to identify the consumer.• The communication, and its content, between Brand and Consumer is directly managed by the Brand.

kr-tex 1000, the alternative

Customizable labels for the fashion industry:

kr-tex 1000 labels contain a QR code to which data has been linked in kr-web:

‐ Serial Number of the label (SerNum),‐ TID, or the EPC, of the RFID micro-chip,‐ Covert serial security code (AuxCode1)

kr-web

TID

SerNum

AuxCode1

A kr-printer automatically activates the labels and links the customized data to the Serial Number and to the RFID micro-chip TID in kr-web.

Small lots:may be printed with commercial low cost TTR printers and activated with a kr-datastion.

Printing variable data on a RFID, or security, labels without reading their RFID micro-chip.
