EFFICIENT!ENERGY!ABSORPTIONThe combination of Koroyd’s precise extrusion and unique thermal welding process leads to a structure with both extremely e!cient and consistent energy absorption properties. The Koroyd core is proven time and time again against traditional energy absorbers including EPS and Foams. Upon impact the cores crush in a completely controlled manner, decelerating the energy from the impact and reducing the final trauma levels.

FULL!BREATHABILITY!An energy absorber which is fully breathable and doesn’t compromise impact performance. Koroyd’s open cell construction allows cool air in, whilst expelling hot air from the riders head.

When air channels are introduced to traditional energy absorbers like EPS and foams, the impact performance decreases - unless thicker parts are installed.

Koroyd’s completely open cell construction channels airflow around the rider, without limitation.

The VANTAGE was built for the hard-core demanding the ultimate in everything. Four strategically placed Koroyd inserts in the crown of the helmet reduce energy transmis-sion and increase the amount of air entering and exiting the helmet. Each Koroyd insert is separately thermoformed to exact dimen-sions, and inserted into pre moulded cavities for the most precise integration. Combine all this tech with Smith’s pioneered AirEvac technology for goggle integration, and the VANTAGE delivers the perfect blend of technology and style.

The FOREFRONT defines Smith’s innovation platform and serves as the ‘go to’ helmet for all-mountain riders. Designed to provide all-mountain protection with road-race weight, the Aerocore™ construction featuring Koroyd allows riders full ventilated protection as never before seen in a bike helmet. With a 30% improvement over standard EPS impact properties, the tubular core structure of the Koroyd material is combined with EPS to create a system of materials designed to surpass current standards. The open tubes of the Koroyd structure redirect air to the user’s head for superior ventilation and since the material is also fully recyclable, it reduces the ecological footprint of the helmet. The Aerocore construction allows for ventilated protection, reduced weight, and reduced volume. Weighing in at 310g, the FOREFRONT helmet features Smith’s new Vaporfit™ adjustable fit system with a tuned elastic fit using engineered shapes. The new Vaporfit™ also integrates hydrophobic megols and lightweight cradle for a personalized, snug and secure fit. This helmet was also design with a integrated camera and light mounting area, and the user can a!x a specially design Goggle Strap Holder. To accommodate a variety of fits, the FOREFRONT is available in three helmet sizes to provide superior fit. Every size has been designed with the ultimate integration of sunglasses and goggles, allowing optimised optical performance.

Revolution on the market for industrial helmets! What started out as an idea for forestry became a reality for the industrial sector as well through patents and certifications. The Protos Integral Industry o"ers all the comfort and safety aspects of the forest and climbing helmet and is extremely flexible in the available features. In a few simple steps, the industry helmet can be converted into a climbing helmet. The entire range of accessories, for example hearing and face protection, is modular. One helmet for every challenge!

The Protos Integral helmet features a Koroyd engineered core insert in the crown of the helmet. It exceeds the EN 397 (Industrial Safety Helmets) and EN 12492 (Helmets for Mountaineers) standards. An unrivalled performance for each application.

all with their own unique characteristics. Each di"erent

configuration of Koroyd is used for di"erent applications,

but the recurring theme is that whatever the application,

Koroyd either o"ers improved performance at the

same weight or less than traditional materials. Koroyd

installed in protector products, o"ers improved impact

performance and weight savings, whilst sporting goods

like skis and snowboards can benefit from vastly reduced

weight, whilst improving the ride.

Ski’s and snowboards with Koroyd installed ride with notice-

ably improved dampening. The Koroyd cores don’t transmit the

same vibrations as a typical wooden core, so chatter is greatly

reduced. Navigating harder snow and ice becomes a lot easier

VIBRATION!REDUCTION THROUGH!ELASTICITYStandardised tests show that the Koroyd core is more than twice as elastic as wood cores used in skis, lead-

ing to much better damping; an increased vibration reduction capacity. The Koroyd core is also 75% lighter

than typical wood cores and about 90% lighter than rubber, an alternative damping material. Regardless of

its elasticity, the Koroyd core is a very strong material for superior performance on the slopes.

Tip to tail Koroyd inserts, wrapped in a CNC’s blend of premium hardwoods and CTRL’s unique foam blend - The wakeboard construc-tion which o"ers a torsional energy feel that until now has never been experienced in the wake before. Two Koroyd insert that run the length of the board are extremely low density ensuring a super light board, whilst also in-creasing rigidity. The elastomeric properties of the Koroyd result in reduced impact feel and give the board a lively, poppy feel where you actually feel it and still carrying the boards ki-netic energy up and into the wake.
