Independence Day Celebrations 2019
73rd Independence Day Celebrated at KPRIT Campus on 15th August 2019. All the faculty
members and students were present at the function. The celebration started with the hoisting
of the National Flag by our honourable Principal, Dr. Eshwar. The program ended with the
message to create a great nation through collective efforts from all individuals.

Teacher’s Day
To mark the great Teacher & Philosophyist, Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan’s Birthday,
Teachers Day was observed and celebrated at College on September 05. The auditorium over
flowed with the students who wanted to celebrate teachers day with respect and love for their
gurus. Small gifts as a token of love were given to all faculty members.

Ganesh Utsav Celebrations
Ganesh Chathurthi celebrations in the campus on 7th September 2019. Ganesh Chathurthi is a
festival that marks the birth of Lord Ganesha.Every year students and staff celebrates Ganesh
Chathurthi in the campus. The everyday program starts with traditional lamp lighting, aarthi,
pooja and prasad distribution. Celebrations end up with nimarjan after successfully
completing five days of pooja.

Engineer’s Day 2019
Engineer’s day celebrations at KPRIT on 13th September 2019.Every year 15th September is
celebrated as the Engineer’s day in India to give a tribute to the greatest Indian Engineer, Sir
Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya who also received India’s highest honour, the Bharat Ratna in
1955. In his honour, the Engineer’s day was celebrated at KPRIT this year with a great
enthusiasm. Events like poster presentation and project exhibition were organised on the
occasion.

Bathukamma Celebrations
Bathukamma celebrations at KPRIT campus on 27th September 2019. The college wore a
festive look on the day. All the students and the staff were dressed up in traditional wear.
Students bought Bathukamma’s made with different flowers and participated in the dandiya.

Mathematics day
National Mathematics day is celebrated on 21st December 2019 at KPRIT to mark the birth
anniversary of legendary Indian mathematician, Srinivasa Ramanujan and his contributions in
the field of mathematics.

Pongal Celebrations
Pongal is one of the most popular harvest festival of South India. Pongal falls in the mid-
January every year and marks the auspicious beginning of Uttarayan - sun's journey
northwards. Our students celebrated Pongal in a traditional way by preparing ‘Pongal’ in mud
pot with all religious traits and performed special Pooja. All the boys and girls in dhotis and
Sarees depicted our cultural way of dressing.

National Youth Day
National Youth day celebrations at KPRIT on 21st January 2020. It is the aim of great
importance of distributing the ideas and ideals of the Swami Vivekananda among the youths
of India. It is the great way to wake up the eternal energy of the youths as well as their big
efforts to make the country developed.

Republic Day Celebrations 2020
Republic Day is one of the great national festivals of India celebrated on 26th January every
year to commemorate the day when Constitution of India came into force. India was under
the British rule for over hundreds of years and was forced to follow the harsh rules and laws
which were against the freedom of Indians. Around 150 students and all the faculty members
participated in the program.

Martyrs day
KPRIT commemorated the Martyrs’ Day (Shaheed Day) on 30th January, 2020 and paid
homage to the sacrifices made by Mahatma Gandhi and countless other freedom fighters in
the struggle for India’s Independence. The students and staff observed a two-minute silence
on the day remembering the brave martyrs and their relentless efforts in the Independence
Struggle.

Traditional day
Traditional Day was held on 15th February 2020 at KPRIT campus. Traditional day was
observed as a celebration of India's diverse culture. It's a day designated for people to come
in traditional attire from their home state, or specific culture of their choice. To make the day
more entertaining competitions like Rangoli, Ramp walk were arranged.

National Science Day is celebrated in India on 28 February each year to mark the discovery
of the Raman effect by Indian physicist Sir C. V. Raman on 28 February 1928.

Yoga for Mental and Physical Health
To spread the benefits of yoga, KPRIT organized a session on yoga on 6th March 2020. Yoga
is a mental, physical and spiritual practice that needs to be carried every day, this was a great
opportunity to imbibe the value of this discipline. The staff performed yogic exercises to
celebrate this day.

honouring the achievements of women throughout history and all across the globe, and is

“If you want to shine like a sun, first burn like a sun”. –Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam
APJ Abdul Kalam Memorial Day was organised on 26th July 2018 at KPRIT. This
programme was organised to give tribute for our former president and scientist Dr. APJ
Abdul Kalam. Dr.Eshwar, the Principal of KPRIT, Dr. Sreenath Kashyap, the vice principal
of KPRIT and all Heads of the Departments paid homage to Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam with
flowers to his portrait.

Kommuri Pratap Reddy Institute of Technology celebrated Teachers’ Day on 5th September
in KPRIT auditorium. The program commenced with a Prayer song. The dignitaries of the
programme are Dr.Eshwar, the Principal of KPRIT, Dr. Sreenath Kashyap, the vice principal
of KPRIT and all Heads of the Departments.
The program started by kindling the lamp. Dr.Eshwar, the Principal of KPRIT
addressed the audience and gave a brief note on the importance of occasion. The Vice
Principal and the Heads of the Departments conveyed the best wishes.

Engineer’s day celebrations 2018
Engineer’s day celebrated at KPRIT campus on 15th September 2018. The programme was
commenced with a prayer song. The chief guest of the programme was Dr. P. Ramesh Babu,
a Professor in the department of Mechanical Engineering, Osmania University. The guest of
Honour was Dr. Rahul, a faculty at NIT, Warangal. On this occasion students got involved in
activities like model exhibition and poster presentation.

celebrated in India to commemorate the birth anniversary of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru,
independent India’s first Prime Minister. The occasion is celebrated on 14th November every
year with great splendor and grandeur. The day is celebrated to pay tribute to this legendary
freedom fighter for his long struggle to achieve independence from the British. To add on,
Nehru was extremely fond of young children. It is due to his love and passion that this day is
marked as Children’s Day, thereby honouring childhood.

staff of KPRIT took keen interest to arrive early in the morning to decorate the space around
lawns with colourful tri-colour ‘thoranams’ and Rangoli. The flag-hoisting was followed by
the play of heart-stirring National Anthem. Sweets were distributed to all who were present in
the occasion.

Swami Vivekananda Birthday Celebrations
Swami Vivekananda birthday celebrations at KPRIT on 29th January 2019. To honor Swami
Vivekananda, National Youth Day is celebrated every year on January 12 since 1985. The
Government felt that the philosophy of Vivekananda and his ideals are a great source of
inspiration for the Indian youth. So, it was declared that his birthday will be observed as
“National Youth Day”. The youth of today on this occasion should strive to be better than the
past and set an example for the future generations so that they too can benefit and learn from
the great teacher himself.
“Fill the brain with high thoughts, highest ideals, place them day and night before
you, and out of that will come Great work” - Swami Vivekananda.

International Yoga Day
International Day of Yoga is celebrated annually on 21st June since its inception in 2015. An
international day for yoga was declared unanimously by the United Nations General
Assembly (UNGA). Yoga is a physical, mental and spiritual practice originated in Bharat or
India. The Indian Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi in his UN address suggested the date
of 21 June, as it is the longest day of the year in the Northern Hemisphere and shares special
significance in many parts of the world.
