Tardies
Please work with your child to ensure they are in their classroom by no
later than 8:15 a.m. each day. Students
begin academic work at 8:15 a.m.
Thank you for working with us in getting your child to school on time. Take advantage of the 7:50 a.m. drop off time!
Parents are asked to walk students into the building and sign them
in if they arrive after 8:15 a.m.
Please RSVP for Kuehnle Events
Kuehnle will have many events throughout the year that allow parent attendance such as our Character Parade, Classroom Parties, Award Programs and Field Day. We encourage parents to use our online RSVP process for these activities to let us know that you will be attending. When you RSVP we will pre-print your visitor’s badge and have it waiting for you to arrive. Parents that do not have a pre-printed visitor’s badge will have to wait in line in the front office to have a badge printed. These lines can be very long sometimes and visitors sometimes miss part of the program because of the length of the line. You may pre-register for anyone that has already had their driver’s license scanned into our system. It’s easy to RSVP! Just visit our Kuehnle webpage (http://kuehnle.kleinisd.net) and click on the link for the appropriate event, fill in the required information, submit and you are finished! You can check the newsletter or flyers that we send home for the name of each link and the dates that RSVPing will be open for each event.
You can RSVP now for our Character Book Parade from November 1st—November 13th.

Send Your Family Fitness Photos We need a photo of your family being active! Whether camping, hiking, cycling, or going for a walk, snap a picture and send it to school with your child with “Family Fitness” written on the back. Please note that pictures will be stapled to the board and may not be in returnable condition at year end. Fitness Testing
Fitness testing in grades 3, 4, and 5 will begin the first week of November. The state of Texas adopted FitnessGram® to assess all students in grades 3-12. FitnessGram evaluates the five com-ponents of health-related fitness: aerobic capacity, muscular strength, muscular endurance, flexi-bility, and body composition. FitnessGram uses scientifically determined standards that are based on how fit children should be for good health. The standards are set specifically for boys and girls and take into account changes with age. The FitnessGram assessment is based not on athletic ability, but levels of fitness needed for good overall health. FitnessGram provides valid and reliable information about your child's level of fit-ness. The FitnessGram test (and report) includes a number of different assessments since health-related fitness has multiple components. By having a complete report, you (and your child) will know more about their overall level fitness and how it can be improved. You can find more infor-mation at www.fitnessgram.net.
Jogging Club Jogging Club is rolling right along! If your child isn’t registered yet but would like to join, go to Mrs. Altendorf’s webpage and use the Jogging Club link on the left. To keep informed about Jogging Club cancellations and other P.E. news, sign up for Remind on the same tab.
Turkey Trot Students will enjoy a Turkey Trot the week before Thanksgiving break. This event will take place during PE classes as students participate in a fun relay activity.
IMPORTANT
Students are not permitted in the building
until 7:50 a.m. unless they are here for choir or another pre-approved
activity.
Students arriving prior to 7:50 a.m. are unsupervised.
Please drop your child off at school after 7:50 a.m.
