For those who are interested in fostering change, acquiring
new tools to make it happen, getting prepared to enjoy the
new era and who are confident of themselves and their future
would be natural allies to the search for ways to manage
knowledge which is inherent in all of us.

What is Information
Information comes from the form that data takes as it is arranged and
presented in different ways.
Researches often describe it as a message that is communicated.
This messaging of the data adds context to it and allows us to
understand something about the data presented.
As with any message, it has sender and receiver the purpose is to
change the receivers way of perceiving something so as to cause
impact on judgment and behavior.

ORGANIZATION and STRUCTURE
The information is infinite but the organization of information is finite.
In addition, information is normally structured around :
Internal The message that run through our system and allows our body
to function
Conversational The formal and informal exchanges that we have with
the people around us.
Reference Runs the system of our world science and technology such as book or dictionary
News Current events that are transmitted via the media
Cultural History, Philosophy, arts. These are the latest quantifiable form.

What is information shareability?
Shareability refers to the extent to which information is sharable.
Information has high shareability if it is easy to share between different
individuals without loss of fidelity (honesty, purity).
Information often is qualitatively different from external information, and
that such internal information is often not particularly shareable.

Patterns
A pattern shows relations among groups of information so that there is
both a consistency and completeness of relations.
Patterns become knowledge when a person is able to realize and
understand the patterns and their implications, that is they become more
self-contextualizing.

What is Knowledge Management
Knowledge Management is the way to keep knowledge growing
Acquiring Knowledge is the way of life of human society, its management makes
the difference between a civilized and modern race and that which is still
languishing as underdeveloped
KM is also understood mainly as a prominent Information Technology concept
with little realization that to use knowledge
You may not ever have to use a computer
Knowledge in its various forms has been with us for less then three decades, knowledge in its various forms has been a phenomena borne with the first
intelligent human to ever set out into the bright primordial sunlight

Why do we need Knowledge Management
Market places are increasingly competitive and the rate of innovations are rising.
Reductions in staffing create a need to replace informal knowledge with formal methods.
Competitive pressures reduce the size of the workforce that holds valuable business
knowledge.
The amount of time available to experience and acquire knowledge has diminished.
Early retirements and increasing mobility of the work force lead to loss of knowledge.
There is a need to manage the increasing complexity, as small operating companies are
trans-national sourcing operations.
Changes in strategic direction may result in the loss of knowledge in the specific area.

Have faith in KM and it will deliver
Innovation in a company is nourished and driven by knowledge basedcapabilities and by management systems that leverage (lbha u hn) the
capabilities.
The potential inherent in well managed intellectual capital extends itsimpact well in to the future as it adapts, renews and replaces capabilities
so the strategies too remain responsive to rapid change and much
uncertainty.
