• • • • • ACMEC Hiring for CME Coordinator

A CMEC is currently in search of a full-time Continuing Medical Education (CME) Coordinator to join its team.

POSITION SUMMARY The CME coordinator provides administrative and operational support to the organization, fo-cusing primarily on CME joint providership. Under the direction of ACMEC’s Director, the CME Coordinator is expected to serve as a re-source to our member organizations and commu-nity partners for CME accreditation, administra-tion, coordination, and implementation of CME programs to ensure compliance with ACCME criteria. In this role, the CME Coordinator will build a working knowledge of ACMEC, its pro-cesses, community partners, initiatives, and CME accreditation regulations. Additionally, the CME Coordinator will collaboratively resolve a range of moderately complex issues and prob-lems utilizing standard procedures while exercis-ing good judgement to refer more complex issues to the Director. The CME Coordinator will also employ a consultative approach to establish a strong rapport with activity coordinators, and advise, educate and coach them through the CME approval and maintenance processes. This role requires broad administrative support knowledge, skills in organization, communica-tion, and relationship building, and experience with reasoning and decision making within a structured, process-oriented environment. The CME Coordinator must have the ability to inde-pendently manage multiple, concurrent projects with minimal supervision utilizing strong organi-zational skills and flexibility, prioritize tasks, and

meet deadlines often with short time frames. The CME Coordinator is also expected to keep cur-rent with educational, medical and technological advances, constantly improve already strong computer skills, and be able to investigate, prob-lem solve and take corrective action as challeng-es arise. Because decision making skills and maintenance of key relationships are essential to the success of the organization, the CME Coordi-nator must be a team player and collaborate on projects with others as needed while demonstrat-ing a strong customer service ethic. Position requires working a flexible schedule to include early mornings, evenings, and occasional weekends as needed, and may require some trav-el. APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS To apply for this position, interested applicants are asked to forward a cover letter describing their interest and qualifications for the position, a resume showing their work and salary history (including dates of employment), and a list of references to [email protected] with the subject APPLICATION: ACMEC CME Coordinator. DEADLINE TO APPLY Review of application materials will begin im-mediately and continue until a suitable pool of finalists have been identified.

The full job description and candidate qualifications can be found at

www.acmec.org.
