Page 2: Knowing too much

The first shot is an establishing shot shows the isolated location highlighting

the darkness which foreshadows something bad will soon follow, the high

angle allows the audience to see the entirety of the shot.

The straight cut to a long shot puts the protagonist in focus. The straight cut was sharp and starts to develop a sense of tension.

After the protagonist has walk further into the out the shot there is a straight cut to the same long shot but now with the antagonist in view this along with his dark cloths and the tension building music captures the audiences attention and begins to create a feel of fear with in.

While the sound has an increasing tempo there is a sharp straight cut to a mid shot of the protagonist on the phone. The use of a handheld camera position Is used and this begins to put the audience in the characters shoes as the shots moves along in a frantic hurry like him.

The use of the handheld shot is heightened when the actor running, shaking emphasises the fear that the character and now audience can feel. The long shot shows the stairs which the character has to use to get away.

The low angle shot is used to show the struggle the character is in to get away from the antagonist and also gives the idea he has a chance of survival as low angle shots tend to give a feeling of have power.

The tracking shot here emphasis the rush and fear with in the character due to the speed at which the camera moves. The long shot draws attention to the distance the character has ran and also shows the range in the shot.

A close up of the character trying to get in his car with his keys highlights the file he is holding and provoked the audience to think whether that’s why he is being followed.

The character then looks up this is followed by the camera the shot is then taken in and out of focus this creates an ultra heighten in character feel for the audience as they see he would struggle to make out who was in the distance ahead.

There is then a straight cut to a mid close up this expression of relief and uncertainly is seen and the audience begin to feel the

near of a climax with the airy fell, which the character is unaware of.

this long shot is similar to a over the shoulder shot it gives the sense that the character is being watch and is soon to be attacked. The shoot also shows the surrounding area which is isolated and adds to the atmosphere.

The cut to an extreme close up shows the anxiety on the characters face as well as the sweat on his forehead this adds to the emotion you can see on his face and urges the audience to empathise with him.

Here there a jump shots between over the shoulder style long shots and mid shots which due to the camera positioning you can see both the face of the protagonist and the antagonist coming close. This jump shot between the two successfully builds tension and excitement while engaging the audience in the action. The delay in the switch to the next shot is fast and sharp which also helps build the atmosphere.

In this mid shot there the camera focus n the file in the protagonist hand again this tells the audience what the antagonist wants the prop although small is given just enough feature which is informative for the audience. As well as the shot showing the character being knocked out the shot switch the power seen when the protagonist was running up the stair to the antagonist who now stands tall over the weak protagonist, although we can not even see his face; this is successfully done through the range of height between the two characters.

The long shot again highlights the isolated location fitting of a thriller genre while vaguely showing the file which the

protagonist once had in his possession was now in the possession of the

antagonist. This shot also bring to light the peak of the climax along with the

end of the sound used.

The last camera shot is a long shot showing the power of the antagonist who strong posture and walk is emphasised by the distance ahead. The shot also pics up on the fact no one saw what had happened and the quest of the antagonist was complete.
