It means possessor of extensive mercy.

It means the One who possesses bestowed mercy.

He owns the mercy given to His creation.

In the name of Allah, the most gracious, the most merciful.Rahman and Raheem put together means:

“The One who grants His mercy to those whom He wills among His creation.”

Surah Al-IkhlasIn the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the

need, (He neither eats nor drinks), needing none. 2 (2) He neither begot anyone, nor was he

begotten. (3) And there is none co-equal or comparable unto Him.” (4)

Surah FatirHe merges the night into

the day and He merges the day into the night. He has subjected the sun and the moon, each runs its course for a term appointed. Such

is Allâh your Lord; His is the kingdom. And those, whom you invoke or call

upon instead of Him, own not even a Qitmîr (the thin membrane over the date-

stone). (13)

Then We fashioned the clot into a little

lump, then fashioned the little lump with bones, then clothed the bones with flesh, and then produced it as another creation. So blessed be Allah, the Best of creators!
