Sexton�missed�a�lot�of�the�2013�Six�Nations�tournament�through�injury�but�was�Ireland’s�most�important�player�in�the�2014�Six�Nations�Championship.�He�scored�four�tries�throughout�the�tournament.�He�also�scored�17�of�the�team’s�22�points�in the final game against France, leading Ireland to a championship victory. Sexton�was�crucial� in�Ireland’s�Grand�Slam�success� in� the�2018�Six�Nations�Championship. The Grand Slam is when one team wins every one of their matches in the Six Nations Championship. In the opening game against France, Sexton scored�a�dramatic�83rd�minute�drop-goal� to� clinch�a�15-13�victory.� Ireland�won�their�remaining�four�matches,�with�Sexton�scoring�44�points�throughout�the tournament.
