MARKET INSIGHT IN BATH’s villagesWelcome to the latest edition of Local View, our seasonal update on the property markets that matter to you. In our view there has never been a better time to buy in the country, having had two tough years there is now real evidence the market is bouncing back with good activity across the region. For example, Potticks House had over 40 viewings in five weeks of marketing and was sold under competition to a cash buyer. As long as properties are sensibly priced, they will sell.

We are seeing more and more buyers from London and the Home Counties; we also get a lot of expats returning from abroad wanting to settle in and around Bath. A continued improvement in confidence amongst buyers, may well turn the market from a buyers’ market to a sellers’ market during this time, although with that said, the worst mistake a vendor can make is ignore comparable evidence and be persuaded that their property is worth more than it is.
