1,814 Acts of Kindness & Justice

I will be kind.

I will be respectful. I will be safe. (Nishuane School Pledge)

For an entire month, Nishuane School wrapped itself in Acts of Kindness and Justice. Beginning December 5, 2012

and culminating with the MLK, Jr. Day Assembly on January 13, each good deed performed by our students around school earned a link on a Nishuane paper chain

that was strung around the auditorium.

Throughout the program in-class and school-wide activities and games were used to promote cooperation,

good citizenship, positive socialization skills and special needs awareness.

We are pleased to report that our K-2 children performed 1,814 good deeds – enough to wrap the auditorium two

times – and those are the ones we know about.

The moral of the story: Nishuane students are certainly kind and just!
