By 2007, more than 60 percent of the U.S. population age 15 to 50 will carry or wear a wireless computing and communications device at least six hours a day.
"Widespread adoption of wireless, wearable computing will provide constantly connected employees and consumers with access to communities, information, and other services as they go about their business in the real world”, said Fenn. "The prevalence of 'wearables' will lead to commerce and service opportunities as significant as those resulting from the wired Web.“ And by 2009, 70 percent of the U.S. population will have these devices implanted and carry them around always (and use inductive rechargers built into beds and chairs). Now, that would be a prediction, but the actual Gartner guess is hardly much of a look into the future. I thought we were pretty much already at their predicted numbers.

“ “Key-Mapping” Onto The Users HandsKey-Mapping” Onto The Users HandsThe three lettered rows of a keyboard are represented by 3 contacts on the outer segment of the inner thumb ofeach hand.
According to touch-typing each indexfinger is used to type 6 different letters, accordingly 3 additional contacts are located on the outer side of each thumb.
Contacting on of the 8 Finger-Contactslocated on the tip of each finger withone of the Thumb-Contacts will generate the same letter as obtained on a keyboard by employing touch-typing with the same finger on the keyboard row which corresponds to the selected Thumb-Contact.
“Thumb Typing” using Thumb-Contacts A and D and additional Side-Finger Contacts generates special characters and othercommands such as “Shift” etc.

THE KITTY PROJECT Keyboard-Independent Touch-Typing
Numeric data input is generated by contacting Thumb-Contacts A and D with supplemental Finger-Contacts 9-18 located on-top or close to the fingernails of each finger.

(1) Patent Assignment(1) Patent AssignmentPatent for Sale. High growth rates in the mobile computing sector, including but not limited to the development of wearable full-blown computing systems warrant the success of the KITTY system. KITTY is the only data-entry system to date which meets all the requirements the users of mobile computing/communication systems demand.
KITTY is currently in negotiations with licensees for the development, manufacturing and worldwide distribution rights. Nothing has been signed to date and new bids are still being considered.
