    Esri QUERY MethodologyATTRIBUTE SELECTION (Fire Station layer)"STAFFED" = 'S' AND NOT "DISTRICT" = 'FEDERAL'(25/47 fire stations within criteria)LOCATION SELECTIONnew selection from schools that are within 10560 feet (2 miles) of the selected staffed and non federal fire stations (67/73 Schools within criteria)OPEN Schools layer ATTRIBUTE TABLE - Switch selection, 6/73, removed one selection from the attribute table as it was within 10560 feet (2 miles)ROUTE DISTANCE with MEASUREMENT TOOLcalculated with measurement tool distances in feet(then converted to Miles) schools fitting selection criteria.They were accurately outside 2 mile range as tested alternative method using PROXIMITY tool to define 2 mile radius as seen in top insert.
