2019-2020 IN REVIEW KITCHEN RENOVATION improving spaces Over the winter holiday, the CAC kitchen was remodeled. The old flooring, cabinets and refrigerator were replaced and addional seang was installed. Air Condioning was also added. The result is a much more welcoming and comfortable space for community meals and culinary programs. The kitchen renovaon is part of the larger iniave Building Creavity, a rolling mul-phase project with a goal of enhancing the CAC infrastural systems to at least a 10 year life expectancy. This year has been a very unique one in many ways. Despite significant challenges, we have achieved some truly wonderful things with your support. Here are a few highlights. We are grateful to each of you who donated or volunteered to make them possible. INTERNATIONAL EXHIBITION expanding horizons In February of 2020, CAC hosted The Art of Wood Fired Ceramics in the spacious Duke Gallery. Curated by Bre Thomas and Mark Tyson, the show featured internaonally acclaimed ceramic arst Peter Callas and wood fired pieces from 40 arsts, including a collecon of exquisite tea bowls from around the world. Other exhibions this year featured work by arsts from the Philadelphia Water Color Society, Tri-State Arsts Equity, CAC Abstract Workshop, Wallingford Swarthmore School District and the Harvest Gathering plein air event. The 2020 Members Exhitbion was hosted on the CAC website virtually in the midst of the pandemic. SUMMER SPREE AT HOME adapting to challenges For over 40 years, Summer Spree has been a beloved summer camp in Delaware County, where kids experience art, music, nature, and friendship in a magical and nurturing environment. When the pandemic made it impossible to hold camp in the normal format, we launched Summer Spree at Home, offering online classes for teens and art kits for younger kids (inculding supplies to create our signature e dye t-shirts). Families picked up over 250 kits for kids to make art at home this summer and the results were stunning! WOOD FIRED KILN creating opportunities The ceramics program connues to expand. This year a new wood-fired kiln and a 1,000 square foot kiln shed to house it were constructed outside the ceramics studio, adding to the diverse firing opons that already included gas powerd kilns for soda and raku firing. The project was spear- headed by CAC teaching arst and Poers Guild member Mark Tyson, who will oversee the firings. Master kiln builder Ted Neal spent a week on site building the kiln and leading the first firing. The improvement project also includes upgrades to the electric service in the studio and an extension of the ceramics studio parking lot with addional lighng, which is ongoing. This year has been a very unique one in many ways. Despite significant challenges, we have achieved some truly wonderful things with your support. Here are a few highlights. We are grateful to each of you who donated or volunteered to make them possible.

INTERNATIONAL EXHIBITION expanding horizonsIn February of 2020, CAC hosted The Art of Wood Fired Ceramics in the spacious Duke Gallery.
