Total Recorded Crime
Over the past decade, overall crime has reduced by 46% (over 3,500 offences) in the rural area compared with 54% for all Kirklees
The crime rate in the Rural area over the past year was 39.5 per 1,000 population compared with a rate of 57.0 for all Kirklees.

Over the past decade, domestic burglay has reduced by 56% (over 360 offences) in the rural area compared with 57% for all Kirklees
The crime rate in the Rural area over the past year was 6.1 per 1,000 dwellings compared with a rate of 10.2 for all Kirklees.

Over the past decade, Vehicle crime has reduced by 65% (over 1,174 offences) in the rural area compared with 64% for all Kirklees
The crime rate in the Rural area over the past year was 4.5 per 1,000 population compared with a rate of 5.4 for all Kirklees.

What we will achieve – Perceptions of problem of ASBAt March 2012, 14% of residents surveyed felt there was a problem to do with anti-social behaviour in their local area – in the next 3 years, we aim to reduce this figure to 11%.

What we will achieve – Issues being dealt withAt March 2012, 41% of residents surveyed were satisfied that the POLICE and LOCAL COUNCIL deal with anti-social behaviour and crime issues that matter in their local area – in the next 3 years, we aim to improve this figure to 45%.
