Description:  There  is  a  crisis  in  Christianity.  80%  of  the  youth  that  we  pour  into  in  youth  group  walk  away  from  Jesus  between  the  ages  of  18-‐25.  The  College  campus  has  become  a  graveyard  for  faith  in  Jesus.  In  this  workshop  we  will  identify  threats  to  faith  on  the  college  campus  and  how  we  as  the  people  of  God  can  be  a  prophetic  voice  to  call  them  back  to  Christ.

-‐something  cultures,  where  the  church  helps  and  hinders  them  in  being  Jesus-‐followers,  and  how  Anglican  churches  can  be  communities  of  faith,  hope,  and  love  to  Millennials  like  them.  Your  questions  to  them  will  be  welcome  and  encouraged.

Description:  Abortion  and  euthanasia  are  two  well-‐known  life  issues  that  are  often  seen  as  political  topics  that  should  not  be  talked  about  in  church.  But  are  there  people  in  the  pews  that  are  dealing  with  these  issues,  and  do  they  need  the  church  to  address  them  from  a  pastoral  perspective?  This  workshop  will  seek  to  answer  this  question  and  provide  practical  pastoral  tools  to  equip  lay  and  ordained  leaders  for  life  outreach.

Georgette  Forney  is  in  her  15th  year  as  President  of  Anglicans  for  Life,  the  only  global  Anglican  ministry  dedicated  to  inspiring  the  Anglican  Church  to  understand  and  euthanasia,  and  embryonic  stem  cell  research.  Georgette  has  developed  a  deep  understanding  of  the  negative  impact  abortion  has  on  women  and  the  need  to  highlight  the  issue  as  an  abortion  survivor.  She  has  been  a  speaker  at  many  pro-‐life  conferences,  conventions,  churches,  rallies,  and  university  and  college  campuses,  which  has  taken  her  to  England  and  Princeton  University  and  Washington  D.C.  where  she  met  with  President  Bush  and  19  other  religious  leaders.  She  has  addressed  the  Pro-‐Life  Caucus  of  the  U.S.  House  of  Representatives  concerning  abortion  and  women,  and  gave  testimony  at  the  Senate  Commerce  sub-‐committee  on  Science,  Technology  and  Space  Hearing,  regarding  the  impact  of  abortion  on  woSewickley,  Pennsylvania,  with  her  husband  of  over  30  years.

Description:  Three  years  ago  my  Primary  Care  Physician  gave  the  opinion  that  the  kidney  was  smarter  than  any  doctor.    I  was  so  taken  back  by  this  comment  that  when  I  shared  this  with  doctors  in  several  Anglican  congregations,  they  all  had  the  same  or  similar  opinions.  I  was  truly  amazed!  This  launched  a  three  year  study  to  find  the  answer  of  what  it  means  to  say  that  our  kidneys  are  smarter  than  any  doctor.  The  workshop  will  be  a  presentation  of  my  discoveries  on  the  kidneys  and  other  organs,  my  conversations  with  and  readings  of  doctors,  scientists  and  theologians,  and  the  rediscovery  of  the

ANGLICANISM  -‐  CONTINUED

ARE  YOU  REALLY  AN  ANGLICAN?                                                  BUD  DAVIS,  PHD  Offered  1  time  on  Saturday

Description:    So  you  think  you  are  an  Anglican.    What  did  you  do  to  convince  yourself  that  you  truly  are  an  Anglican?    Could  you  win  your  case  in  court?    How  has  the  Anglican  Church  deepened  your  faith  in  our  Lord  and  Savior  Jesus  Christ?      Who  created  our  strand  of  Apostolic  Christianity?  Some  suggest  that  Anglicanism  is  the  container  for  the  Apostolic  Christian  faith  to  be  passed  along  from  generation  to  generation.    If  that  statement  is  true,  who  does  pass  it  on  from  one  generation  to  the  next  generation?  Let  us  explore  these  questions  together  and  learn  more  about  what  it  means  to  be  an  Anglican.

Bud  Davis,  PhD,  is  an  educator  and  Anglican  layman.  His  Doctorate  in  Philosophy  in  Human  Behavior  has  been  utilized  in  teaching  at  UCLA  as  well  as  an  Academic  Coordinator  in  the  UCLA  Career  and  Technical  Education  division.    Dr.  Davis  is  a  member  of  the  Executive  Committee  of  the  Diocese  of  Western  Anglicans.  He  and  his  wife,  Carol,  are  members  of  St.   he  Finance  Committee.    Bud  and  his  wife  Carol  are  active  in  prayer  ministry  and  have  been  leaders  in  Marriage  Encounter,  Anglican  Faith  Alive,  Alpha,  Life  in  the  Spirit,  and  Cursillo  programs.  Bud  has  published  his  book,  Celebrate  Anglicanism,  The  Faith  That  Anglicans  Have  Always  Believed,  Taught,  and  Practiced.

Description:  This  session  will  be  an  interactive  time  exploring  and  experiencing  the  use  of  Imaginative  Prayer.  This  is  a  style  of  prayer  that  has  been  used  for  centuries  and  enables  the  individual,  as  empowered  and  led  by  the  Holy  Spirit,  to  enter  into  the  scripture,  especially  the  Gospel  narratives,  in  ways  that  are  enlightening  and  transformative.  Imaginative  prayer  enables  us  to  walk  with  Jesus,  rather  than  merely  reading  about  Jesus.
